*G-Cam's POV*

"So you get your eyes from your dad?" I asked Hayden as we walked in the sand.

Hayden nodded. I responded with oh as we continued walking. It was pretty dark outside but there were lights from the boardwalk.

"What beach is this?" Hayden asked.

"I don't know. Why?"

"Don't you think we're kinda far from the hotel?"

I looked around. I couldn't see the hotel from here but I remember my way back.

"No."

I sat down in the sand and stuck my feet into the water. Hay followed suit.

Only the sounds of people in the distance and the waves crashing could be heard. This is so relaxing.

"Can I ask you something?" Hayden said.

"Shoot," I said looking at her.

She turned her body towards me before talking.

"Ok. Are you and Nash happy?"

"Um yeah I guess," I shrugged.

"What do you mean you guess?"

"It means I guess. Why are you asking?" I asked slightly annoyed.

I've been convincing myself that me and Nash are happy. I was happy at one point but now its basically a whatever relationship.

"Camren. Look."

I turned around and saw Nash. It was dark but the street lights didn't make it hard. He was with...Jenna?

Me and Hayden watched as they held hands and looked happy together. He even kissed her.

Even if it was a peck I was pissed.

"Cam you okay?"

I turned back to face the ocean and so did Hayden.

"I shouldn't care. Those two are probably better together," I sighed.

"Get your shoes on Cam. We're playing detectives tonight," she laughed.

Me and Hayden put our socks and shoes back on and stood up. Hayden ran with her head ducked down and I did the same.

The way this place was set up was slightly weird. There was the beach and to the left was the pier/boardwalk.

And where we saw Nash and Jenna was behind us. They were on the sidewalk walking into the boardwalk area.

Me and Hay went into the boardwalk and tried to find Jenna and Nash.

It wasn't that bright here so we couldn't see people as well.

"Cam, put on your hood," Hayden said quickly.

"What?"

She grabbed the hood of my hoodie and forced it onto my head. She grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a bench.

"What're you doing?" I asked.

"They're coming and I don't want them seeing us. Turn around!"

We turned around to hide our faces as they walked by. I could make out some stuff they said.

"You're cute."

"This is fun."

They're ugly.

After they were far enough, Hayden turned her head forward with a disgusted look on her face.

"They're ugly." She said.

I started laughing at her.

"Like they sound like that ugly cliche couple on TV. Know your limits Nash. Never...reach ugly bro."

I continued laughing at her even louder this time. She quickly covered my mouth with her hand.

"Shhh. They're looking," she said quietly.

"I thought they were far by now," I whispered.

"Not far enough. Let's go," she whispered back.

We quickly got up and sped walked into the opposite direction of them. This boardwalk was unnecessarily long and it felt as if we were lost in it.

Hayden pulled out her phone and looked into the dark screen.

"Now is not the time to check out your reflection Hay."

"Actually it is. And my reflection tells me that they're behind us."

"Oh my gosh. They're following us?" I asked starting to panic a little.

"No I don't think so. But they are walking behind us. If they see its us...well we're kinda toast." She answered.

This is what happens when you try to go undercover.

"Hayden look. A street performer," I pulled her over to watch him.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Just keep your back turned. We don't want them to see us."

"Get behind me." Hayden said.

I stood behind her and she took my hands and wrapped them around her waist.

"Hayden. I hate to alarm you but I still like boys."

"Shut up idiot. You have a hood on and they can't see your head. I'm using your head to cover mine's." She shook her head.

We both got really quiet once we saw that Jenna and Nash were close. They walked passed us and we could hear them laughing and stuff.

Me and Hayden almost thought the coast was clear until we saw Nash walk up to the performer we were watching and tipped him.

As Nash went to tip him, we saw Jenna walk up to him too. They were so close to us and my heart dropped from fear. There backs were faced us and all it took was for them to turn around.

Hayden turned to look at me as my hands were still wrapped around her.

She had a matching look of fear in her eyes.

She nodded at me and we both did the same thing. We took off. Running the fastest we've ever ran in the opposite direction on Nash and Jenna.

It felt like we were running forever before we finally made it out of the boardwalk area.

Once our shoes hit the sand again, we both stopped to catch our breath.

"They. Were looking. At us," Hayden said in between breaths.

"Did the notice it was us?" I asked.

"I don't think so," she shook her head.

"Well. I think we have some revenge planning to do..." I said and grabbed Hayden's arm.

We made out way to the hotel for part two of this fun...

Ok so if any of this is confusing to y'all just tell me. I was winging this chapter.
