Chapter 7
"We were best of friends since we were this high
So why do I get nervous every time you walk by
We would be on the phone all day
Now I can't find the words to say to you
Now what am I supposed to do?" - Catching feelings - Justin BieberSunday's have always been my favorite day of the week. It was my day to completely relax and not have to worry about anything. Saturday's are nice too but I sometimes have to work. But I don't have to work on Sunday's because the cafe is always closed on that day.
So I usually spend my Sunday's in bed with Netflix.
I glanced at my phone to see the time and it was just a little past noon. I woke up about an hour ago to only grab some breakfast and then head back to bed to watch Gossip Girl on Netflix.
I've seen this show a million times but I could never get enough of it. Chuck and Blair are the ultimate relationship goals and I pray that I have a love like theirs one day.
I paused my show when I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I yelled from the bed.
Austin stood in my doorway and I instantly smiled.
I've missed my best friend.
"Hey stranger," I greeted him.
He gave me a look as he plopped down on my desk chair, "You calling me a stranger? I think you are the stranger since you've been the one going on dates and stuff."
My cheeks warmed a bit but I tried to ignore it, "Shut up, I've been on one."
He tsked, "How about three?"
Rolling my eyes, I pressed play on my Apple TV remote so I could continue watching Gossip Girl.
Austin groaned when he saw what I was watching. He hates all of the shows I watch. "Can we watch something else please?"
"I was watching this first before you came over." I replied.
"But you're always watching this show. Let's watch a movie or something."
"When this episode is over," I said compromising with him.
He stood up and headed for my door, "Come get me when it's over."
I swear he's the biggest whiny baby ever. "Stop being like that Austin. You were the one to come barging in without notice. I was watching this first."
He may be my best friend and I love him to death but we defiantly fight like we are brother and sister. My mom probably has to break up more fights between me and Austin than she does between me and one of my actual siblings.
Almost like she could detect us arguing, my mom opens my door and walks in.
"Did I just hear you two arguing?" She asked suspiciously.
"Yes," Austin said as I said no.
I glared at him.
My mom raised an eyebrow at me and then turned to Austin. "What is it about this time?"
"He's being a whiney baby." I said.
