It was a tradition that every year for Valentine's Day myself, Austin, and Dauton would spend the night snacking on junk food and talk about how much we hate this holiday. However, I had a feeling that this Valentine's Day was going to be different. After spending last weekend with Matt and his family at his basketball tournament, we had been texting and snapchatting each other constantly. We were not dating officially yet, but we were definitely  testing out the waters. He has been impressing me and showing me that maybe he is capable of having a real relationship and that maybe he is serious now.

That doesn't make my feelings for him, and the other guys any clearer though. I still have some feelings for Kyle and the butterflies and jitteryness I feel when I am around Austin have not gone away either. In fact, they are just getting worse. It makes everything so much more confusing and I really don't know what I want right now.

I would be lying if I said that I was hoping that Matt had Valentine's Day plans for us. The romantic side of me was even hoping that maybe he would make it very special. Or maybe even Kyle asking me to hang out tonight. But so far neither guy has said anything about Valentine's Day.

I was around Kyle all day at school today and he didn't say anything about it being Valentine's Day. I guess he has better plans than to hang out with me. I was a little bummed, because I really wanted to spend Valentine's Day will one of the guys. I guess Netflix and brownies will have to do.

I put my car in park once I pulled up in my driveway. I couldn't help but feel the disappointment of knowing I had no plans for tonight. My mom greeted me when I walked in the door. "Hey honey, how was school?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "Boring, what's new?"

She threw her head back and laughed. "Maybe we should have you in a harder school."

"It's senior year, Mother. Of course it's going to be boring, we don't do anything." It was true. By now, it has been set in stone who will be valedictorian and salutatorian. So the teachers just give us busy work until it's time to graduate. None of us are complaining though. Kyle found out yesterday, that is he the lucky one to be the valedictorian. Who was really surprised though? The guy has always been the smarter in our class.

"You got a hot date for tonight?"

"Mom!" I groaned. Don't get me wrong, I love having a cool mom, but sometimes it's just embarrassing.

"What? I'm just asking. You have been hanging out with a few guys a lot lately. I figured you would at least have some kind of plans for tonight."

Thanks for making it worse, Mother. I sighed, "I have a hot date with netlfix and chocolate."

"Well since you have no plans, want to join me and you dad at the annual Valentines Day's banquet?" She asked me. "The Reese's are going to be there."

I perked up at the mention of the Reese's. If they were going, then maybe Austin and Dauton might be free tonight, and my Valentine's evening won't be ruined.

"Do you know if Austin is going?" I asked my mom. For as long as I can remember, my parents and the twins' parents went to this big Valentines Day banquet put on by my fathers work. It's fancy enough that men wear suits and women wear cocktail dresses. When we were younger, they hired a babysitter to baby sit all of us, and then when we got old enough to stay by ourselves, we would hang out and watch movies all night long. That all changed last year though, when Austin and Dauton went on a double date with Laura and Madison. It was the worst Valentines Day I've ever had, and I will not let this year be like last year.
