21: I Finally Meet A Woman

I dove for the sword and my whole body was emerged in water – although it wasn't. I felt like I was lightweight and I basically flew through the water. I couldn't find the sword and was sad. Dwalin had just given it to me. Something pulled on my neck and I struggled to get free. I turned around and screamed. My dad was tightening a belt around my neck. His words rang in my head: "I'll make you pay for killing her. I'll make the rest of your life a living hell for ripping her away from me."

My hands fumbled with the belt and tried to get loose, but the belt only got tighter and tighter. I didn't understand how he was underwater with me and how I didn't need air. None of that mattered when your throat was being closed by a madman.

"Wait! Wait! No no!" I yelled and clawed at my neck.

He said in my ear, "No one's gonna help you now."

He pointed at something floating in the water: it was Kili's dead body. The belt tightened and I yelped. I screamed and clawed as tears streamed down my face. My nails were bleeding, and so were the palms of my hands, I couldn't breathe. Something shook me and I fought against it. My vision turned black and I screamed again.

"Andiel! ANDIEL!"

I opened my eyes and it was Dwalin.

"Lass, are you okay?" He was holding my hands and his whole body was wet.

I stared at him and my hands flew to my neck. I was choking anymore, and my skin wasn't bruised. My eyes widened and I looked around for Kili, who was talking next to Fili away from us. I turned back to Dwalin, and clutched onto him; I don't think I ever cried that hard in my life. I felt him pick me up and carry me as we walked some more. I was crying silently.

"Andiel, what happened?" He asked surprisingly softly for a guy like him.

I wiped my eyes with one hand, "Well, my dad was choking me, Kili was dead, and he was gonna kill me."

"It's just the water, lass. We should've listened to Gandalf," he said.

We were shoved and I jolted in his arms.

"Ori, what the hell?" I said.

I got out of Dwalin's arms, then wobbled.

"We're lost because of you! If they hadn't of wasted our time saving you, we wouldn't have been lost! None of this would've happened!"

He stuck his finger in my face and I slapped it away.

"Don't you talk to her like that!" Kili pushed him.

"Don't you talk to me like that!" Ori yelled at him and most of the dwarves began to fight.

I stood between them and shoved a few away from Kili.

"Are you alright?" I asked him, and ran my hands over his face.

"QUIET!" Thorin yelled, "We're being watched."

Instantly, hairs stood up on the back of my neck.

"Andiel," Kili whispered.

I looked down at him, "Yeah?"

"I love you," He looked up at me and I smiled.

I whispered back, "Me too."

He handed me Dwalin's sword and I took it.

"Bilbo what do you see up there?" I yelled up.

Trees rustled near us and we all stood in a circle. The trees parted way for - no. No. This is a no. Bye. No. I'm moving out of Middle Earth. As much as I loved the dwarves, fuck this quest. I didn't sign up for this. I didn't ask for any of this. I could take goblins, trolls, Wargs, elves, and Orcs. But this?! NO. BYE!
