Chapter 10- To the Factory

((I drew a feral dog...yay. This chapter reveals some info for the quest with the big factory. Forgot the name of it, all i remeber is it took me SO long to kill the right people, but anyways...))

That night you read the letter to everyone, explaining that if just a few people went, it would be a death sentence. You had been by the factory once before, and knew what a big building it was. You all discussed the plan and finally Alesa asked about where Mason should stay during the mission. You decided to take him to the best person you could think of. Jasmine from Diamond city owed you a favor.

Granted, it's been years since she told you that. Hopefully she would remember. She was basically a housewife, she gave birth to many of the children of Diamond City. Technically, she was the reason you had a "meltdown" the last time you were in Diamond City. She needed something from the Mayor, and to gain his attention you were the little actress. She promised to help you out with whatever you needed in the future.

"We need to make a stop by Diamond City first. Everyone grab what you need. As much ammo as you can, and meet by the door." You ordered.

Alesa grabbed her weapons and equipment and also all of the toys and baby things for Mason. You grabbed your favorite weapon and soon, everyone met downstairs. You made sure everyone had armor and stimpacks. Then took a head count.
Max, Adam, Alesa and baby Mason on her back. Barney, Ross, Red (who insisted he join you), and the dogs. (Rascal and the others) Once everyone grabbed their backpacks, you left the Tower and took the journey to Diamond City. On the way there you were faced with some big nasty bugs and a pack of dogs, but nothing too hard to handle. Arriving at the gate to Diamond City, you paused and pressed the intercom button.

"Hello again general. The Mayor has awaited your return. Please come in." The voice of the gate keeper spoke. You waited for the gate to open and led the team into Diamond City. You met the Mayor by the newsstand and he smiled.

"Ahh, General. So nice to see you!" He chimed, pulling you into a very uncomfortable embrace. Your whole body tensed up and you tried your best to resist the urge to knock him out, then and there.

As he let go of you, you whipped around to face the group. They all had a look of shock on their faces. Shocked that you let him touch you like that. You clenched your jaw and took a deep breath. Turning around, you faced the Mayor.

"I'm here to speak with an old friend." You said stoicly. He chuckled.
"Wonderful. Glad to see you have survived the um...incident. You won't be spreading and stories now, correct?" He asked, leaning towards you. He looked scared of the answer.

"No, of course not. We'll be on our way shortly." You replied. He nodded happily and left you and the group alone.

Adam, Alesa, Mason, and Yourself walked over to Jasmine's house. You let Barney, Ross, Red, and Max walk around the market while they waited.

You knocked on Jasmine's door and it was opened by a teenager.

"Can I help you?" She asked in a bored tone.

"Is Jasmine here?" You asked her. She huffed and turned around.

"Mom, someone's at the door!" She yelled. Then held the door open for you all to enter. Walking in, you noticed the same living room you had seen all those years ago. It was cozy, and not much changed.

"Oh my dear! (Y/n), how you've grown!" Jasmine cheered as she entered the room.

You stood up and approached the 50 year old woman. She reached for your hands and you let her hold your hands and pat your cheek. It has been 10 years most likely since she saw you last. You both Sat down and she asked what brought you to Diamond City.

"Well, I'd like you to watch someone for me. This is Mason." You said, as Alesa handed Mason to her. She cooed over his adorable face and cute eyes.

"You have a beautiful son." She smiled at Alesa. Mason was cooing happily in Jasmine's arms. "How long will you be gone?" She asked.

"It could take a week presumably." You said.

"Alright, I'll take good care of little Mason. You guys be careful out there." She warned. You thanked her for babysitting and soon left to regroup with the others.

You all met up at the center diner. After a meal together you all left Diamond City and began the journey to the factory. The sun set soon after you all left the city and it was about midnight when you made it into the city. Immediately you were attacked by a large number of ghouls (zombies).

After getting rid of most of the ghouls, you all found an abandoned building and pulled out the sleeping bags. Two people stayed watch for a few hours while the rest slept. Then you and another sat up to keep watch. Soon, it was sunrise and you all gathered the supplies and weapons. You and your group of soliders walked toward the looming factory, hiding to survey the front of the building.

Multiple raiders on the roof, 2 in front and a turret guarding the door. You all sat in a parking garage, discussing the plan. It was now or never. No backing out.
