((Happy Easter to you! Hope you got some good candy! But if you don't celebrate it, here's to staring at a screen, reading words I put together for you! That sounded weird...oh well. Enjoy this drama filled chapter! Dun dun dunnn!))
You put your hands on his chest as best you could and tried pushing him away. The kiss only lasted a few seconds, but you hated it. No matter how soft his lips felt on your own.
He pulled back and moved his arm away. You glared at his smug grin, pulling your hand back and letting it connect with his cheek. A loud SMACK echoed off the walls. He staggered backwards. You sent him a dark glare and said one thing before leaving the room.
"Remember your place."
You left and went to the weapons room to clean the weapons for the rest of the day. For the next two weeks, you avoided Red, and you didn't mention the kiss to Max.
But at the end of two weeks, your guilt filled up inside and you knew you had to tell him. You found him on the stairs after breakfast one morning, and asked him to come to your office.
"Max...remember that day in the gym?" You started. He nodded, so you continued. "Well, after you left, Red caught up with me...he pushed me into the wall...and kissed me..." You said.
"He...what?" Max asked. You looked down to avoid his heavy gaze.
"He kissed me...and I slapped him." You replied. He looked down at his hands in his lap.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked. You looked up and could see betrayal in his watering eyes.
"I was afraid.." You began.
"Afraid of what? That I'd beat him to a pulp?? Afraid I'd hurt him? Do you actually like him, (Y/n)??" His voice rose in volume with each question he spat your direction.
"No! Max, listen--"
"I don't want to hear it. Why didn't you tell me?!" He snapped.
"Max..I.." He stood up.
"I can't believe this...I need some time." He muttered and left.
You sat there, feeling numb. A million thoughts rushing through your head. How could he blame you? Red kissed you! You didn't want it to happen.
In a flurry, you packed up some things. Momentarily forgetting about your group and responsibilities- you went to leave the Tower. Adam saw you by the door, and asked where you were going.
"I'm going for a walk." You replied, and left to go on your walk. Maybe that would clear your head.
You walked and walked until you got to a bridge. It was a bridge that connected your home city of Cambridge to Central Boston. You knew bridges were dangerous, but continued anyway. The breeze felt nice caressing your skin, and your (h/l) hair blew in the soft wind.
The sun shone down on you and you felt a sense of peace. You smiled to yourself and continued across the bridge. You had to jump over a few holes or go around them, but you made it soon to the other side.
Once on the other side, you headed toward an abandoned house. You ventured inside to look for some food or maybe other supplies. You gathered what you could and snuck back out.
Outside in the street, barely away from eye sight, was three super mutants. Your breath caught in your throat and you started to panic. Ok, maybe if you went back inside and pretended to not be there...maybe they'd leave you be.
You grabbed your pistol and went back inside. You sat on the floor, facing the door. Your gun was in hand and you were ready for anything to come in that door. Well, almost anything.
You listened to the thumping footsteps of one...two..super mutants. They started yelling at each other. Arguing about something, when their loud footsteps halted. Their loud voices continued until one shouted out in anger.
Crack!
The sound of splintering wood echoed in your ears and you sprang up. A large spiked rolling pin busted through the wall and landed in the house on the floor next to you. Soon the door was ripped open and a super mutant busted his way through the door, the frame crumbling to pieces.
Upon seeing you, huddled in the corner by a broken television, the mutant glared.
"Human in here! Human pretty!" He bellowed. Soon, his two friends walked in too.
"Human come with us!" One shouted, approaching you. You scrambled toward the stairs as they came closer. You fell back, sitting on the stairs and tried shooting at one. That's when they grabbed you.
They dragged you outside, and you dropped your pistol on the ground when one smacked your head against the concrete. You tasted blood and everything turned black.
