It took you only a couple hours to get to the park your father specified. When the three of you got there, you went to the gazebo and sat down.

"What if he doesn't show? What if he was hurt or killed on the way here?" You wondered aloud. Adam placed a hand on your shoulder.

"Just relax, I'm sure he's fine." He coaxed. You relaxed a little at his words and waited as time went by.

You all waited for another hour until you heard footsteps. You stood up abruptly and looked out. Scanning the park, your eyes landed on him. You stepped out of the gazebo and hesitated to walk closer.

Once you were close enough, the man took off his sunglasses and you knew it was him. Those were the same eyes as he had back then. A little more wrinkles were set in his face, but it was him.

"Dad.." You whispered. He was only a foot away so he heard you. A wide grin stretched across his face when you noticed him.

You walked closer and he took a few steps, opening his arms for you.You quickly moved in to hug him.

"My daughter." He spoke into your hair. He kissed your head, and held you close. It felt like time stopped and your heart was beating erratically in your chest.

As you pulled back, he gazed down at you and locked eyes. You smiled at him. A genuine smile and he smiled back. The actions in the past were forgotten and now it only mattered that you two were there in the park, reunited.

Oh, you almost forgot. You stepped back and shoved a hand in your pocket. You brought out your hand to meet his curious gaze.

"The feather. I brought it." You smiled. He smiled back, and kissed your knuckles. He wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you to his side.

"So, introduce me to your friends." He prompted. You nodded and  walked up into the gazebo.

"Guys, this is my dad. Dad, this is Adam and Red." You smiled. The guys shook hands respectfully, and sat down.

For the next hour you all talked about everything that happened since you left the vault after the great war. You told him about your house, the Tower. Then you told him how Red lives with you when he's not delivering letters, and Adam and Alesa were the first people you came across when you left the vault.

Eventually you got to the part about Max. You were nervous to tell him about your daughter, but he had to know. So you told him. At first his eyes held an unreadable emotion, then he smiled and nodded.

"That's wonderful. I'm happy for you." He said. "When will I get to meet her?" He asked.

"You can come back to the Tower today. You can meet everyone and stay with us for a while." You chided. It sounded like a great plan to you.

"Sure, I'll come with you." He agreed. You cheered internally. "Oh, I brought sandwiches!" He added.

He pulled out 4 sandwiches and passed them out to you all. Everyone sat and ate in silence. When you all finished, you got up and started walking back. Your dad carried an assault rifle, while he walked.

Soon, you made it to the Tower. You knocked on the door in the specific pattern, and soon the door opened. Barney and Ross welcomed you 4 inside. You introduced your dad to Ross and Barney then they shook hands.

Later, you took your dad to the baby's room to see his granddaughter. He thought she was the cutest. When she got fussy, he rocked her to sleep and sang a lullabye that he used to sing you.

That night he joined you for dinner, it was really nice to have him over. Everyone talked and had some wine, then went to bed. You gave your dad a spare cot to sleep on. Everything was good, and peaceful. Until morning...
