When I woke up I didn't know where I was. Everything seemed fuzzy to me.

I pushed myself up more on the leather chair I was on.

"What the hell?" I mumbled.

"You're awake." A voice said.

"Loki." I whispered. "What happened?" I asked standing up from the couch. Surprisingly I didn't feel any pain. I saw that my arm was popped back in place.

"You blacked out my dear. I healed your injuries."

"Oh." I mumbled. "Um thank you." I said.

"What's the last thing you remember?"

"Um...running from the Hulk." I responded. He just nodded.

I saw a glint of mischief in his eyes which made me kind of suspicious. But then again it's Loki.

"How did you escape?" I asked reaching for my gun which wasn't there.

He mocked gasped.

"You weren't going to shoot me, now would you darling?" I rolled my eyes.

"I can never be to careful." I mumbled under my breath. I looked around. "Where are we?" I asked him.

"New York city I believe." He responded. I rush to the window and seeing the city look normal and peaceful...for now.

"When is your army coming?" I asked facing Loki. He smirked walking over to a glass door.

"Any moment now." He said before going out to the balcony. I jumped when I heard an explosion.

I looked up at the sky and saw Tony. He landed on a walkway sort of thing and started walking as his suit was unassembled.

"Please tell me you are going to appeal to my humanity." Loki says walking in.

"Uh, I'm actually going to threaten you."

"You should have left your armor on for that." Loki stated.

"Tony he'll kill you." I told him. He looked at me before descending the stairs.

"Yea, see a bit of mileage in you with your glow stick of destiny." Tony said gesturing to the scepter. "Would you like a drink?" Tony asked going behind the bar. I took a step forward but felt Loki pull me back to him.

"Stalling won't change anything." Loki said. Tony glared at Loki then his face when void.

"Oh, no threatening." Tony corrected him. "No drink you sure? Ana? Want a martini? Your gonna have to come over and get it though." He asked.

"She's not going anywhere near you." Loki sneered.

"I'm sure she can speak for herself and you don't own her reindeer games." Tony stated glaring at Loki as he released me. I grabbed my arm and rubbed it from where Loki had a tight grip on it. I stepped away from him. Loki growled before looking out the window.

"The Chitari are coming, nothing will change that. What have I to fear?"

"The avengers." Tony stated simply. "That's what we call ourselves. Sort of like a team. Earth's mightiest hero's kind of thing."

"Yes, I've met them." Loki said with a devilish grin.

"Let's do a head count here. Your brother the demi-god." Loki lightly scoffed. "A super soldier, a living legend who kinda lives up to the legend, a man with breath taking anger management issues, a couple of master assassins and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them."

"That was the plan."

"Not a great plan, when they come, and they will." Tony started saying making his way around the bar. "They'll come for you."

"I have an army."

'We have a hulk." Tony retorted as he got closer to us.

"Oh, I thought the beast has wandered off."

"Yea that's not the point, theirs no throne, theirs no version of this where you come in on top. maybe your army comes, and maybe its too much for us but that's all on you. If we can't protect the earth,  you can be well damn sure we will avenge it." He finished taking a sip of his drink. Loki walked dangerously slow towards Tony.

"How can your friends have time for me, when they're so busy fighting you." I gasped when I saw the scepter glow. I ran and pushed Tony out of the way just in time.

I glare at Loki.

"Leave him alone." I shouted.
