Chapter 57

We all stepped into the elevator back at the Avengers tower. We meaning Steve, Pietro, Wanda and I. Exiting the elevator we made our way to the lab.

"I'm gonna say this once." Steve began.

"How about none-ce." Tony shot back.

"Shut it down" Steve demanded.

"Nope, not gonna happen." Tony replied.

"You don't know what you're doing." I told Tony trying to reason with him.

"And you do?" Bruce asked me. "And she's not in your head." He asked gesturing to Wanda.

"i know you're angry." Wanda says.

"Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." Bruce told her without even blinking.

Damn Bruce.

"Banner, after everything that's happened-" Tony cut Steve off.

"It's nothing compared to what's coming" Tony stated.

"You don't know what's in there." Wanda told them.

"This isn't a game." Steve yelled. Pietro ran around disconnecting the cradle.

"No, no. Go on." He said. A gunshot ran out before Pietro fell through the glass.

"Pietro" Wanda yelled.

"I'm rerouting the upload." Tony stated turning back to the computers. Cap threw his shield at the machines catching it as it came back. Tony's Iron Man hand came to Tony. He pointed it at Cap and shot him making him slide back a few feet as more of the Iron Man suit came to Tony. Wanda's hand began to glow but Bruce got er from behind.

"Go ahead, piss me off." Bruce threatened her. A fight broke out between Tony and Steve.

I watched it all unravel until Thor came out of no where. He jumped up onto the cradle raising his hammer creating lighting before shooting it at the cradle.

It exploded throwing Thor back. Something came out of it. It didn't really look human. It looked confused until his eyes laid on Thor, that was when he lunged for him. Thor was quick to react and threw him through the glass. Then he stopped right in front of the window. He just stared out it. We all came out from the lab. Thor put his hand out at us indicating for us to wait.

"I am sorry. That was ...odd." He spoke. He sounded exactly like Jarvis. "thank you." He said to Thor before a cape appeared to go down his back.

"Thor. You helped create this?' Steve asked in disbelief.

"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life, and at it's center is that." Thor explained before pointing at the yellow hem attached to the purple guy's forehead.

"What? The gem?' Bruce asked.

"It's the mind stone. It's one of the 6 Infinity Stones. Te greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Thor explained.

"Then why would you bring-" I started to asked but he cut me off.

"Because Stark is right."

"Oh, it's definitely the end times." Bruce commented.

"The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron." Thor told us.

"Not alone." Purple guy says.

"Why does your vision sound like Jarvis?" Steve asks.

"We reconfigured Jarvis's matrix to create something new." Tony explained walking up without taking his eyes off of 'vision.'

"I think I've had my fill of new."

"You think I'm a child of Ultron?" 'Vision asked Steve.

"You're not?"

"I'm not Ultron. I am not Jarvis. I am. I am...Vision" He trailed off.

"I looked inside your head and saw annihilation." Wanda told him.

"Look again." 'Vision' said. I hear Clint scoff.

"Her seal of approval means jack to me." Clint said walking up.

"Their powers, the horrors in our head, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone. And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side-"

"Is it? Are you?" Steve quickly questioned. I inwardly groaned. I don't blame him for being cautious but I'm getting sick of this already. "On our side?"

"I don't think it's that simple."

"Well, it better get real simple real soon." Clint says.

"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't. He will end it all."

"What's he waiting for?" Tony asks.

"You." 'Vision' says looking dead straight at Tony.

"Where?"

"Sokovia." Clint answered. "He's got Nat there too." 

Oh, crap.

"If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..." Bruce began.

"What will you do?" 'Vision' questioned him calmly. But he didn't get a response back. " I don't want to kill Ultron." He stated walking past Bruce. "He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the Earth. So,he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net. We have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So, there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go." Vision stated holding up Thor's hammer.

Wait what? How the hell..... That's it I think I've seen everything now.

Everyone looked shocked as Vision left. Thor held his hammer shocked before smiling.

"Well done." He told Tony walking past. We stood there in silence.

"3 minutes. Get what you need." Cap told us.

I stood there in my newer Red Warrior uniform which to my appeal is fire resistant. I grab the guns and other weapons I needed before heading off.

"No way we all get through this. If even one tin soldier is left standing, we've lost. There's gonna be blood on the floor."

"But isn't that expected?" I asked rhetorically.

"I got no plans tomorrow night." Cap says.

"I get first crack at the big guy. Iron Man's the one he's waiting for." Tony stated.

"That's true. He hates you the most. " Vision stated walking onto the quinjet.

I sat next to Tony on the jet holding his hand tightly.

"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. And that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. 

So our priority is getting them out.

"Everyone out" I shouted entering a home on Sokovia.

All they want is to live in peace. And that's not gonna happen today. But we can do our best to protect them.

"Come on everybody out." I exclaimed ushering people out of their homes. I walked over to the boy with earphones in and pulled them out. "Let's go."

"And we can get the job done. We find out what Ultron's been building, we find Romanoff, and we clear the field."

I was crouched down besides Clint. I looked down at my bow. It's been a real long time since I've used this.

"Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters. That we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right."
