Chapter 56

"Be careful okay?' Tony tells me as we landed at Nexus. I nodded.

"I will, promise." He pecks me on the lips before exiting the quinjet.

I followed Steve into the building where Ultron's soon to be body is being held.

"Holy Shit." I muttered as I looked around the destroyed lab. Steve ran over to Dr. Cho.

"He's uploading himself into the body." She told us.

"Where?' Steve asked beginning to stand but Dr. Cho pulled him back.

"The real power is inside the cradle. The gem, it's power is uncontainable. You can't just blow it up. You have to get the cradle to Stark." Dr. Cho explains.

"We have to find it first." I stated.

"Go." She whispered. Steve and I looked at each other before running off.

"Did you guys copy that?" I asked.

"We did." Clint said.

" got a private jet taking off across town. No manifest. That could be him." Natasha stated.

"There. It's a truck from the lab. Right above you Cap, Warrior. On the loop by the bridge. It's them. You got three with the cradle, one in the cab. I could take out the driver."

"Negative." Steve says quickly. "That truck crashes, the gem could level the city. We need to draw out Ultron." He stated as we climbed the latter to the bridge. 

From my standing point I can see the truck coming.

"Better get ready to jump Cap." I told him just as I started to run. I jumped over the edge and dug into the metal with my hand so I had a grip to the truck so I didn't fall. Cap slid down to the back of the truck. He grabbed onto the door as it was blasted open slamming Steve to the side of the truck.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Yea." He responded kicking himself so the door swung closed. Once again the door was shot and Steve went up in the air before landing on the broken door that was being dragged across the concrete.

"Well, he's definitely unhappy. I'm gonna try and keep him that way." Steve announced.

"You're not a match for him Cap." 

"Thanks, Barton."

I watched as Steve was blasted into a car. He jumped onto a garbage truck before jumping back on here with me.

I watched as Ultron flew up to our level.

"Do you know what's in that cradle?" He asked before blasting me into Cap's shield.

"The power to make real change. And that terrifies you." I stumbled but kept my balanced. Alright now I was mad.

"I wouldn't call it a comfort." Steve said throwing his shield. I ducked as Ultron shot at us. I dodged his attacks. Damn I knew I should've brought my guns. He threw his shield piercing Ultron's chest.

"Stop." He said whacking the shield off the truck. Ultron shot Steve off the truck. I felt my whole body heat up as I ran for Ultron. He groaned. "How are you still alive?" He asked trying to blast at me but I dodged him. I jumped up onto his arm. He shook his arm trying to shake me off. "Vibranium sweetheart your gonna have to try a lot harder then that." He said smacking his arm against the truck denting it. As my hand heated up I dug as far as I can into his arm. He growled pointing his hand at my face. I gasped before he shot me.

I yelled out at the pain as I released Ultron. I cover my face with my hands. My face felt hot, very, very hot.

"Ana." I hear Steve yell as I heard the clang of metal. 

It hurts.

I try my best to open my eyes even though it was painful. This isn't normal. I'm not normal. I should be dead. Why did I want this power?

I looked up, it was a bit blurry but I can see. Ultron had Steve raise by his throat.

"No." I whispered. I ran, crashing my body into Ultron pushing us off the truck and into a subway train with Cap following.

"Keep him busy." I heard Nat say over the com.

"What do you think we've been doing?" Steve replied as he got up. "Your face." Steve said staring at me.

"Will heal." I said blocking Ultron's shot. He threw his shield at Ultron. Stve pulled me back causing us to fall into one of the seats.

Well this is awkward.

A blur of blue pushed Ultron. Ultron turned but the metal poles moved so it was blocking hi.

"Please don't do this." He tells the twins.

"What choice do we have?" Wanda asked. Ultron blasted the front of the train before flying out.

"No" I yelled jumping over the poles. "We lost him. He's headed you way" I announced. Steve and I made our way to the front of the train and to my horror the track ends up ahead and at the speed we're heading we're not likely to stop.

"Cap, do you see Nat?" I hear Clit ask.

"if youhave the package, get it to Stark. Go" Steve yelled.

"Do yo have eyes on Nat?'

"Go" Steve yelled. 

I hope Nat is okay.

"Civilians in our path." Steve told Pietro. The Maximoff nodded before running off. "Can you stop this thing?" He asked Wanda. I looked at the girl who just nodded. I eyed her down for a moment before looking away. 

I took cover as the train crashed threw a wall. I felt the whole train shake as Wanda tried to stop the train.

Fortunately she was successful.

I helped some civilians off of the train before following Steve to the twins.

"I just need a minute." I hear Pietro say.

"I'm very tempted not to give you one." Steve stated.

"The cradle. Did you get it?" Wanda asked.

"Stark will take care of it." Steve told her.

"No he won't." She said.

"You don't know what you're talking about. Stark's not crazy."

"He will do anything to make things right." Wanda stated clearly upset.

"Tony." I said. "Is anyone on com's?" I asked.

"Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it." I looked at Wanda. "Where do you think he get's that?
