Chapter 68

We've been flying for awhile now, now in the mountain region. 

"What's going to happen to your friends?" Bucky spoke up. Steve didn't respond at first. I heard him sigh.

"Whatever it is, we'll  deal with it." He told Bucky.

"I don't know if I'm worth all of this Steve."

"What you did all those years it wasn't you. You didn't have a choice." Steve assured him.

"Oh yeah? But I did it."

"It's more then that now though. Now it's about focusing on the doctor and the other super soldiers." I told him.

In no time we've made it to Siberia outside the HYDRA base Bucky used to be kept at. There was a light blizzard outside. Once Steve landed, I felt a wave of nausea, I swallowed back the bile that rose in my throat.

We all unbuckled ourselves before I opened up the weapon cache. I picked out a gun and two knives. I still had the gadget on my wrist still similar to Natasha's. The opening of the quinjet unhatched,going down revealing the blizzard. I stood a bit behind the two super soldiers.

'You remember that time we had to catch a ride back from Rockaway Beach in the back of a freezer truck?" Steve asked Bucky. 

"Was that the time we used our train money to buy hot dogs?"

"You blew 3 bucks, trying to win that stuffed bear for a red head." Bucky grinned.

"What was her name again?" Bucky asked.

"Dolores. You called her dot." Steve stated.

"She's gotta be a hundred years old right now." Bucky said. 

"And so are both of you, grandpa." I sat giving Steve and Bucky a pat on the back before advancing forward, off the quinjet.

It's sad to think how Steve and Bucky and such normal lives then WW2 happened, Steve went under ice and Bucky was used as a weapon for years.

We walked up the the entrance which was already opened.

"He couldn't of been here more than a few hours." Steve stated.

"Long enough to wake them up."

I sighed.

"Well this should be fun." I commented walking in with the guys right behind me.

We were quiet on the elevator ride down. The elevator shook once it reached our destination. We all looked at each other. Bucky nodded at Steve who pulled the cage up. I raised my gun as Bucky and I cautiously walked out. As Bucky checked the first turn I sped up the the next turn. I quickly pointed my gun that way scanning to make sure there was no one before the three of us walked along the wall and going up the stairs.

There was a loud bang behind us. I quickly turned around with my gun raised. Steve had his shield ready prepared for what's to come. The sound of metal creaking set me on edge.

"Ready?" Steve asks us.

"Yea."

The metal doors were pushed open revealing the glow of Tony's Iron Man suit. He stepped forward as his helmet moved back revealing his face.

"You seem a little defensive." Tony stated as Steve walked forward. I lowered my gun a bit.

"It's been a long day." Steve said as he walked closer to Tony. Tony doing the same.
