1 year later

I sat across from Steve in the Avengers Tower in NY. I looked over the briefing for a mission I'm going on.

In the last year it was discovered that secret HYDRA agents have been working in SHIELD leading to the fall of it.

"I'm sorry about your friend." I told Steve without looking up.

"Thank you." He said. I nodded as I continued to read the file.

"Okay according to our sources Loki's scepter should be in the lab in the far west wing of the building. We are landing about 3 miles north of the building. By the time we land the guards will be alerted so Banner, you and Thor will deal with them up close. Barton you will be higher up I'm going to need you to keep an eye on everything while checking patterns. Stark you hit the air and deal with any aircrafts. Romanoff, Stark and I will infiltrate the building from the east wing and head for Loki's scepter. Do I make myself clear?" Steve asked as we all nodded.

Just as Steve said once we were off the Quinjet guards were coming our way.

Natasha, Steve and I ran through the the forest towards the east wing of building dealing with the occasional guards.

We had our backs against the wall as Steve peered around the corner.

"2 guards both armed." He stated. "You get left and I get right?" Steve asked me. I nodded as we ran out of hiding. They spotted us and started shooting at us. Steve deflected the bullets with his shield while I skillfully dodged them. I grabbed the tip of the gun as my hand began to glow orange. I smiled wicked at the man as I bent the material of the gun so it tilted up, rendering the gun useless. I drew my fist back before punching the man square in the face knocking him out.

"Nice job." Nat's complimented. I winked at her as we ran into the building.

Guards burst through the doors coming our way. They shot at us and I barely flinched as the bullets pierced me feeling my body heat up.  Steve once again deflected the bullets while covering Nat. He threw the shield hitting them, like dominos. I jumped wrapping my legs around the mans neck before twisting my body causing us to spin and the man dropping to the ground. A felt arms wrapped around me but they screamed as their skin singed. I spun around and punched the guard making him or her flying into the wall. I ran ahead catching up with the others as we turned the corner.

I kicked down the door to the control room which was empty.

"You get any information you can and we'll make it back to you as soon as we acquired Loki's scepter." I told her. She mock saluted me.

"Yes sir." She responded. I rolled my eyes before going on with Steve.

Our way to the west wing was relatively easy for the most part. Their weren't many guards because most of them were dealing with the others.

"Turn left." Steve said. I nodded as we turned down another all way.

I could hear talking near by which caused me to stop. Steve noticed and stopped as well.

"What's wrong?" He asked me. I placed a finger in front of my lips to indicate that he needs to be quiet.

I carefully walked forward and peered around the corner but I was unfortunately caught.

"It's them! The Avengers!" I hear one of the men shout. I cursed under my breath as they fled. I chased after them with Steve in tow.

The guards ran and two big metal doors started to close behind them.

"Not today!" Steve said throwing his shield hoping it'll stop the door but the shield hit it once it was closed.

I sped up running towards the door feeling my body heat up.

"Ana!" Steve yelled as I crashed my body into the door going right through it. I fell to the floor with a thump. I looks behind me and saw the rims of the metal I just went through still tinged orange.

"Got it!" I exclaimed as he went through the hole.

He just shook his head, helping me up but I saw the smile on his face. I smirked.

We began to run down the hall once again.

We stopped at the last door which behind it would be the lab. Steve kicked down the door.

We stepped into the lab to find it completely wiped out.

"Shit." I said.

"Language." Steve said from beside me, taking off his mask.

I chuckled before my face turned serious. I pressed the button to the com.

"Loki's scepter isn't here head back to the Quinjet." I reported to the others.

"Yes ma'am." I hear Tony say through the com.

Everyone was back on the Quinjet but me. Somehow I got separated from the others and now I was running as fast as I can through the forest with HYDRA agents trying to kill me. There are too many of them for me to fight at once.

"Ana where are you?!" I hear Tony's voice yell through the com making me flinch.

"I'm on my way I kinda got held up and we have company!" I yelled as I continued to run.

Come on where is it? It should be here!

I glanced behind me to see if they were still following me, when I turned back I smacked right into a tree. I fell back with a thump.

Black dots covered some of my vision. I heard voices in my ear that I couldn't make out and without thinking I took the com out and threw it to the side.

I heard footsteps coming towards me. I moved my head and saw glint of metal before passing out.
