Chapter 6

Chapter 6:

Riley's POV:

The party was an overall success, except for Tyler and Jamie, all of our guests had left telling us how much fun they had. As soon as the last guest left, Anna and I began to clean up and saw Jamie and Tyler playing with our dogs. It was quite a sight to see and I knew that the two of them will be great dads one day. Before I had the chance to look away, Tyler who was petting Star, looked at me and gave me the most charming smile I had ever seen. Looking away I could feel my cheeks getting red and Anna saw me and started to laugh. I hit her with the clean plates that were in my hand and told her to shut up which made her laugh even harder. After Anna had stopped laughing and everything was cleaned up, we were finally able to sit down and talk to the guys. After talking to them for over 2 hours, they decided to head home since it was now 1 A.M. and they had practice that morning. After they left I said goodnight to Anna before heading up to my bed. Although I had felt tired, I was up all night thinking about Tyler and couldn't get him out of my head. Thinking to myself I said "Riley be serious he is a hockey player he could have anyone he wanted he doesn't want you." No matter how many times I told myself that I still wasn't able to get him out of my head. After finally being able to fall asleep, my alarm went off reminding me I had to go to class. Rolling out of my bed I went to take a shower and wake myself up. After showering I headed downstairs to see a very tired looking Anna who had a travel mug in her hand. Thanking her for making the coffee I fill myself a mug and off we go to our Anatomy class with Mr.Grego. Thankfully classes went by fast and we as we got closer to my car we saw Jamie and Tyler standing against it waving to us when they saw us. When we got to our car,Jamie told us that they had a surprise for us and told us to follow them. Despite our constant protests about wanting to go home, 20 minutes later we had pulled into a mini-golf place. Jamie and I had decided to be partners while Anna and Tyler were partners. As we went course by course Jamie started asking me if I liked Tyler and wouldn't stop until i finally told him that I did but he couldn't tell him. "I do like him ok. You can't tell him or anyone else ok? I've only told you and Anna." "Fine but why don't you want him to know. I'm sure if he knew you liked him he would ask you out on a date." "Jamie you are my 2nd best friend, but sometime I just don't no if in that big head of yours there is a brain." "Hey stop changing the subject!" "Fine, I know that I'm not good enough for him. If you look at the girls he was with before they are models and are amazing. I would never have a chance and besides I'm not even that pretty. He wouldn't want to date me. "Riley-" "Jamie it's fine, you don't need to say anything I've accepted it already."After our conversation if you can call it that, I walked over to Anna and made the excuse of having homework so I could just go home. I told Anna to stay and just get a ride from the boys. She agreed and said she would be home soon. As soon as I got home, I saw the one person whose presence made me feel small and hopeless. He was the reason that no one would ever love me.
