Chapter 29

Jamie's POV:

After Anna texted me telling me to cover her house after the game I would be lying to you if I said that I wasn't worried about what it was. I left as soon as I could, bring later than I wanted to because we clinched our playoff spot and I had to talk to reporters. I drove over to her house and saw that she was red eyed sitting on her couch by her front door. After running over to her I picked her up and put on my lap and rocked her back and forth trying to calm her down. After she finally stopped crying, I tried to get her to explain what was wrong which only resulted in even more tears from her. She Finally stopped and began to tell me all about what happened with Riley and her ex John. After she told me about how she had miscarriage after she was raped I can't tell you how bad I wanted to kill him. How could someone hurt such a sweet person. I started to rock Anna and she finally fell asleep on the couch. I took this opportunity to call Tyler and tell him about it and tell him that is the reason that she had left for Australia.

Tyler's Pov:

I was at home when Jamie called me saying it was urgent and that we had to talk. I immediately got worried and thought something happened to the girls. "Hey man what's up? Are the girls ok?" I asked him worry in my voice. "Well for the most part I think they are, but Anna Just told me why Riley left." He told me sounding anxious over the phone. "Really? Why did she leave Jame?" "You know that guy John, well he raped her and got her pregnant. That's not even the worst part, she miscarried the baby and took it really hard. I guess when he came back it brought back memories to her and she started to freak out she didn't want anything to happen to us so she thought leaving was a better idea." "Are you kidding me? I am going to kill that prick!" "Yeah I'm sorry, but she is going over to your house right? You can talk to her then." "Yeah sounds good thanks Jamie. I'll talk to you later." "Yeah no problem I'll talk to you later Tyler." With that he hung up and I started to throw the dishes that I was using around my kitchen. That Prick was dead when I see him next. I got call from Riley a few minutes later and I picked up the phone and answered it to hear an unknown voice on the phone. "Hello?" "Hi, is this Mr. Tyler Seguin?" the voice asked me. "Yeah it is may I ask who's calling?" "Yeah sorry I am a nurse at Baylor University Medical Center. We found Ms. Riley Fannon's cellphone she was in a very bad car accident and was t-boned on purpose. Your name was the first on her emergency contacts and we wanted to inform you that she is in surgery and in very critical condition. She Was hit on the driver's side and the other car fled the scene. The police found a note at the crime scene on her car which is how we know this was planned. If you want to come by the Medical Center we can keep you updated on her and you can talk to the police." "Yeah I'll be there right away thank you so much." I hung up the phone and got my stuff, ran to the car and sped off to the Medical Center.Once I got there the tears were streaming down my face and I couldn't help but blame myself. She was on her way to see me she was in an accident. I just hope she is ok, I was planning on proposing tonight and now she can be taken away from me. Does God have some kind of problem with me? "Please just help my baby girl I don't know what I would do without her I love her more than anything." I said to no one in particular but I was hoping someone would hear. Who would do this to her?
