Chapter 31

Riley's Pov:

I woke up and had the biggest urge to pee. I went to touch Tyler whose head was on my bed his eyes puffy and his clothes messed up."Tyler." I said my voice sounding scratchy and not like myself at all. He woke up with a jolt and looked lovingly into my eyes. "Riley, Oh my God thank the lord you finally woke up. I've been worried sick." Tyler said tears threatening to go out of his eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I was on the way to your house and then while I was at a red light, this truck came out of nowhere and hit me head on. It was almost purposefully done. Tyler I was so scared." "Baby I'm so sorry, you'll be ok I promise. I love you ok, I'll love you no matter what." With those words I started to tear up and it was at that moment that I knew this man was my everything and I couldn't live without him. His one of the reason I wake up everyday."I love you too! Where's Anna and Jamie? Are they dating yet?" I asked suddenly wondering how much I missed out on. "Hun, you haven't been out for that long, he hasn't asked her out yet I promise. They are getting food actually, I just texted them telling them you are awake. Anna has missed you so much." It was a few seconds later that I trembling Anna walked in towards me and practically jumped into my arm. "I missed you so much Riley I can't even tell you. They tried to shut off your support system but I wouldn't let them. It would have hurt to much." Anna said tears streaming down her face. "It's ok I'm ok and we are gonna get out of here soon I promise." I told her calming her down

5 days later:

We were heading home today and I can't tell you how happy I am. I am so sick of this stupid hospital, this stupid hospital food, and being stuck in this bed that's not even comfortable. Tyler and I were going to goon a date tonight and I can't wait to see what he has planned. He told me that I should dress nicely and that I would want to get my hair and makeup done. It confused me a bit when he said that but he promised it would make sense later. After I got all my stuff done,I headed out to the living room only to find Jamie with a single rose and a card in his hands. I gave hims a smile and he handed me the card and the rose. The card read:

Hi Babe, I know you were expecting me downstairs and instead I left my dork of a teammate Jamie. I know, I know, be nice to your teammates and I really do love Jamie, that's the reason I left him with you. He's going to take you to a few places tonight and at the end of the road you will find me and I promise you this will be an evening to never forget. Follow the directions on each of the cards and I promise you will be rewarded. I love you forever. Now for the clue: Go to the place where I first took you out on a double date in Texas. One person will be waiting for you and I know that you will love it. I love you. Forever yours, Tyler

I smiled at Jamie although I had no clue what was going on. Next thing I knew, we were headed to our first stop: Mini Golf. 

The boys had a great run this season and I couldn't be a prouder fan. Can't wait till next year!- Rachel
