Tyler's POV:

The game was super physical and I could only pray and hope that it would end soon. There was about 5 minutes left in the 3rd period and we were winning 5-2. After Jordie decided to send the puck fling into the air and into the stands, they call a TV timeout and that's when I got up from seat and Jamie and Lindy knew that the plan was going into action. I grabbed the microphone from one of the refs and skated into the neutral zone and looked right up at her. "Hi guys thank you for coming out tonight to enjoy this game. I have a special thanks to give to the most important woman in my life right now and I need to tell her how I feel, sorry mom I love you too, but Riley I can't imagine my life without you and I wanted to tell you how much I love you. You told me earlier and I Didn't answer you because all I could hear was you telling you how much you loved me. I know it may be hard to imagine sometimes, but you are the one thing that I think about all day and I don't know what I would do without you in my life. Well now that I'm being told by Lindy to hurry it up,I would love to finish his speech at my locker after the game, please join me after the game. I will love you forever and always." With that I skated back to the bench and the whole crowd was still silent, surprised at what I just did. As soon as I got to the bench all of the boys except for Jamie and Jordie had the same expression on. The Benn brothers both gave me a slap on the back and I went back to my seat acting like everyone wasn't staring at me and I didn't just say my feelings to a crowd of about 18,500 people. The rest of the game went on faster than I expected and next thing I knew, we had won 6-2 and I was rushing into the locker room hoping that Riley would actually show up. I wasn't lying when I told her that I loved her and that we needed to continue this conversation. Just to make sure that she wasn't trying to leave, I had one of the guards try and make sure she didn't leave. Wow, I really was super invested in her, I better make sure I put a ring on it soon.

Riley's Pov:

After Spending a while in Lindy's office crying I decided to head to my seat and watch one of the last games I would be at for a while. The game was pretty physical and by the beginning of the 3rd period we were winning 4-1 and the boys were playing exceptionally well. With about 5 minutes to go, the team was winning 5-2 and I knew the boys were going to the playoffs and I couldn't be more proud to be a Stars fan. A few seconds Jordie Benn shot a puck into the stands, and a TV timeout began. I then noticed commotion going on by the Stars bench and a second later Tyler Was skating to neutral ice with a microphone in his hand looking directly at me. He began to speak and I held onto every word he said and tried pinching myself to make sure it was not a dream. I will love you forever and always." I couldn't believe and just said that to me in front of everybody. As he skated back to the bench I noticed the entire arena was silent and they were all staring at me like I was an alien with 7 heads. When Tyler got over to the bench all of the players except for Jamie and Jordie had the same expression as the rest of the arena. When I looked at Lindy he winked at me and gave me a big smile. I wanted to run out of the arena as fast as I could as soon as the game ended, but I couldn't move from my seat. After I snapped myself back into reality, I noticed that the arena was empty except for a security guard who was watching me intently and I assumed Tyler sent him to bring me to the locker room. As I walked to the guard, I realized just how in love I was with Tyler and that no matter what I wasn't going to let him slip away again. I would do whatever it took.

Sorry it took me forever to update, I had a lot of stuff going on this week. I have spring break now so expect some more updates this week. -Rachel
