Chapter 27

Riley's Pov:

When I got down to the locker room, I noticed that most of the WAGS were gone and a few remained. I said hi to a few of them before heading to the door of the locker room. I walked in before knocking and let's just say that was a bad idea. A Few of the boys were dancing with nothing but a towel room and after closing my eyes and screaming at them, they finally turned the music down. "What The hell guys why are you dancing in your towels? That's so gross." I yelled at the boys and head a round of laughter coming from around the room. A few minutes later I was told I could open my eyes and after opening them slowly, I was pleased to find everyone had at least pants on. I walked over to Tyler's bench and noticed that he wasn't there. I was waiting for a few minutes and when he didn't come, I realized maybe it was all a joke. I Got up from the stall and I was walking out towards the door when an someone pulled my arm back into what felt like a wall. I looked up and saw a nervous looking Tyler who started to speak in a voice almost above a whisper. "Why were you leaving without me? I thought we were going to talk." "Yeah we were and I came down here and sat at your bench but you were there so I waited for a few minutes and when you didn't come I figured it was all a joke so I got up to leave and-" I was rambling and I Looked him as he just stared at me. After I stopped talking, he leaned down and kissed me and I'm not talking about a peck on the lips, we went into a full blown make out session in front of all of his teammates who were hooting and hollering. When we finally broke apart wheat felt like hours later, he pressed his forehead to mine and he started to explain everything to me, why he said what he did, why he was scared,and why he wanted to be with me. His speech was romantic and very genuine, in all honesty I started to cry it was so good. I noticed that he was shaking the whole time and felt so bad. As he was talking I knew that he had captured my heart and I was a goner.There was no way I was gonna let this guy go and I needed to know he felt the same way.

Anna's Pov:

I was so happy to know that Riley was home, but I knew that as hard as it was for me it was 10 times harder for Riley. She told me all about what happened between her and John and seeing her breakdown on the phone and I couldn't do anything to help her just made me feel so much worse. I can still remember the conversation that we had, I don't think that I could ever forget it for that matter.

Flashback:

"Hi Riles how are you doing today. You look like you just got run over by a truck." I told her being honest because I knew that's what she needed from me. "Wow you really know how to make a girl feel good." She said with a smile and I knew that talking to me made her day better therefore making my day better, "Sorry just being honest." "Yeah ok whatever." We playfully banter for a few more minutes when I noticed that she got a message and her face immediately fell. "Riles who was that?" She didn't answer me so I pestered her some more until she finally answered. "That was John. He knew I left and I've seen him a few times here and he's threatening me and all y'all." "Riley you said he wasn't that bad all he did was make you pretend to be his girlfriend why is he so obsessed with you?" "I may have left some details and events it when I was telling you guys what happened between us." Riley come on really? You have to tell me what happened, and I'm talking sugar coating it tell me all that happen between you guys. That's the only way that i'm gonna be able to help you out." "OK fine I'll tell you but you have to promise to keep it to yourself, I haven't told anyone else about it, in fact I lied to my twin about what happened." "Riley you're scaring me what happened?" "Well you know about how he was forcing e to be his girlfriend and stuff, but one day it got worse. It wasn't just going from party to party, he started to get drunk and he would heat me and beat me. It was the day after senior prom...."
