Chapter 16

Anna's POV:

I was woke up the next morning and heard that Riley was in the shower, so I decided that I would make us some coffee and some breakfast. I was in the middle of getting us both some coffee when I heard a scream come from upstairs. I ran up as fast as i could and went directly to Riley's room. When I walked in I saw Riley curled in a ball with her phone on the ground beside her. After calling her name a few times I knew that only Jamie and Tyler could get her out of this funk. I ran to my room, got my phone, and then ran back to Riley's room and hugged her while I called Jamie. "Hello love" "Jamie you and Tyler need to get your asses over here now Riley is scaring me and I can't get her to talk. I need you guys here now." "We are on our way give us like 5 minutes." "Okay thank you." With that we hung up and I went downstairs to unlock the door and wait for the boys. When the boys got there Tyler ran up to Riley's room and I started to cry. Seeing Riley so hurt and vulnerable and in pain and I couldn't help her made me feel so sad and angry at myself. I knew that I couldn't do anything about it, but I knew the boys would do a great job. After a few minutes Tyler came down with a red-eyed, blotchy faced Riley who looked paler than ever before. I went over to her and we hugged each other trying our best not to cry and we only pulled apart when Jamie said he had to go somewhere and hopefully it would cheer Riley up.Riley and I went upstairs to get ready and Jamie and Tyler followed us up Tyler going with Riley while Jamie followed me. Jamie sat on my bed while I showed him outfits, asking which one I should wear. I was about to give up when Jamie asked to go into my closet and look for something. When he came out he pulled out my Benn jersey that I had gotten for my birthday. This was also the shirt I was wearing when we first met. I went to go put it on when Jamie pulled me into my chest and pulled me in a hug before talking. "Anna I know we have only known each other for a little while, but I can't imagine my life without you. You make me such a better person. Will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes of course! You don't know how long I have been waiting for you to say that to me!" "On that note do you want to go out with me tonight, I have reservations for a nice restaurant. I would understand if you don't want to because of Riley. Believe me when I imagined me asking you to be my girlfriend it wasn't like this but it was the perfect moment so." "Don't worry I loved it. I would love to go out with you tonight!" With that he gave me another hug and let me go so I could change into my clothes. As I came out he made a comment about me looking good with his name and number and I couldn't help but laugh at the corny line almost any professional player uses when they talk to her significant others. We headed downstairs and I laughed when I saw that Riley and I were wearing practically the same outfit. We headed to the car and I hopped into the passenger seat while Tyler and Riley hopped into the backseat. We rode in silence for a little while before Jamie thought it would be a good idea to break the silence asking the one question we were all thinking. "Riley I love you, you know that right? " "Yeah of course I do. You are my second best friend." "Okay so don't get mad at me when I ask this." "Jamie what are you talking about?" "Why were you sitting on the ground crying? Did someone do something to you?" "I got a phone call after I had taken a shower and thinking it was Tyler answered without looking at the screen and I got a call from someone I never thought would call me." "Riley who was it? You can tell us anything you know that right?" "Okay the phone call, was from.."
