Chapter Twenty-Eight

“Tiffany, what are you doing here and why are you a werewolf?” Brad said, changing back into a human. I looked at Eric for some help because I had no idea how to change back.

Just take a deep breath and you’ll change back,” Eric said.

I did what he told me and I felt myself go back to normal.

“Thanks, Eric,” I said. He changed back into a human too.

“No problem,” he told me.

“Oh, I get it. He’s TUTORING you,” Brad said.

“So, you two know each other?” Eric said.

“Yea. Unfortunately,” I said.

“Shut up, you little…….” Brad started to say.

“Ok!” Eric said, interrupting him. “I can see you two don’t get along too well,” he said, glancing from me to Brad.

“We DID. We used to date. Until she cheated on me with John,” Brad said.

“Oh, your boyfriend? John?” Eric asked. I nodded. Brad just glared at me.

“So, how do you two know each other?” I said.

“We grew up together. I’m just a few years older than him,” Eric explained.

“I see,” I said.

“You still haven’t told me why you’re suddenly a werewolf,” Brad said.

“I thought you didn’t care,” I taunted him.

“I will always care. I don’t want to, but I know I always will,” Brad said. Well, that was kinda sweet. For Brad, I thought to myself.

“Well, it’s the same reason why I asked YOU to change me. I had to do this,” I said.

“Look, I understand why, but there’s a reason why I said no. You won’t have a normal life anymore. If one little thing sets you off, you go berserk. And you have to run away before people see you change,” Brad said.

“I get all of that,” I said. “I knew what I was doing and I will accept the consequences,”

“Ok. Fine. But don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Brad said.

“Well, it’s too late anyway,” I said.

“True,” Brad said. Then we all walked home together.

John’s P.O.V.

I was hanging out at home, trying to get Tiffany out of my mind. Ever since Eric bit her, we haven’t gotten to hang out a lot. I was also worried. I could tell that Eric had a thing for her. I mean, why not? Tiffany was the sweetest, funniest, hottest, and most randomest girl I have ever met. It’s no surprise that Eric likes her. And I would totally advise anyone to date her. But not when she’s dating me. He better lay off her, or he’s going to have to deal with me. I started flipping through the channels on my TV. I was home alone, so I was insanely bored. Then, I heard my doorbell ring. I got up to answer it. I was really shocked because standing on my front porch, was none other than Brad.

“Um, hi,” I said.

“Hello,” he said. I stepped back to let him through.

“What’s up?” I asked him.

“Did you know that Tiffany is now part werewolf?” he asked me. I laughed. “I didn’t intend for that to be funny,” he said. He glared at me.

“Yea. I know,” I said.

“Do you know that she changed her whole life for you?” he said.

“Yea, she explained all of that to me,” I told him.

“Interesting,” he said.

“What?” I said.

“Oh, nothing. I just thought that a boyfriend should care about his girlfriend,” Brad said.

“I DO care about her,” I said.

“Do you really? Well, I don’t think that a boyfriend should let his girlfriend do something as stupid as changing into a werewolf,” he said.

“It was her idea,” I said.

“Yes, but you LET her,” he said, getting louder.

“That was her choice. I tried to talk her out of it,” I said.

“You don’t care about her at all, do you?” he said.

“Oh, I care about her. Way more than YOU do,” I said. He looked at me with pure hatred in his eyes. Then he attacked me, and everything went black.
