Hey. I apologize for the lateness. I could say that it will never happen again, but that would be a complete and utter lie. So here it is! Chapter Thirty!
p.s. I have another idea for a new story :D

Chapter Thirty
Eric and I walked into John’s room. He looked so sad. He was hooked up to all of these wires and I immediately felt guilty. It was my fault that John got hurt in the 1st place. In fact, it was my fault last time he got hurt. I guess I must have been tearing up a little because Eric looked concerned.
“Oh, I’m fine,” I said.
“You sure?” he asked.
“Yea, just allergies,” I said.
“Ok,” he said. I could tell he didn’t believe that for a minute, but I was glad he just dropped it. I kneeled down beside John’s bed and just stared at him. At that time, the nurse walked in.
“I’m afraid he won’t wake up for at least a couple of hours. We gave him a lot of pain medication,” she explained.
“Thank you,” I said.
“You’re welcome……” the nurse said with a puzzled expression. I don’t guess anyone’s ever thanked her before, but I was trying to be genuinely nice for once. “If you need anything, just ask,” she said, as she walked out the door.
“Um, Tiffany?” Eric said.
“Yeah?” I said.
“Maybe we should go,” he said.
“You can go ahead. I’ll stay here,” I said.
“How will you get a ride home?” he asked.
“I’ll call for a taxi,” I said.
“We don’t have taxis in this town,” he said.
“Well, that sucks,” I said.
“Yea, so I’ll drive you home,” he said.
“No, I want to stay. I’ll pretend to be a hobo and hitch a ride with a stranger to get home,” I said.
“Ok, fine. But if for some reason your imaginary taxi never shows up or a stranger never picks up a sweaty, dirty, cranky girl, then call me,” he said.
“Ok,” I said. I smiled and wouldn’t stop smiling until he was out of the room.
I focused my attention on John.
“I’m so sorry this happened to you. It’s all my fault. We should never have dated. I’ve just made everything worse. I should’ve stopped Brad somehow. I know my powers don’t work, but I still feel like I should’ve done something to prevent this. I’m sorry, I’m probably the worst girlfriend ever and it’s all my fault…..”
“No, it’s my fault,” I turned to see where the voice was coming from. Brad was standing in the doorway.
“Oh, HELL no! Get out. NOW!” I shouted.
“Look, just let me expla….”
“No! I am sick and tired of you! I have given you so many chances and you have lost every single one of them. Every time you mess up, you come to me and tell me how sorry you are, but then you go and do something else incredibly stupid and the cycle starts all over again. I don’t care if you have a bad temper. That is no reason to attack my boyfriend. You nearly killed him Brad!”
“I know. I..”
“I’m not done. You’ve attacked John twice, you hurt my best friend……….I’m done with you. And I know that I almost cheated on you. I’m so sorry about that. But that still does not give you any excuse to do all of that shit. You hear me? I never want to see, or talk to you again. You understand?” I finished. I was breathing really heavily.
“Yes. I do. I’m so sorry. I’ll never bother you again,” he turned to walk out.
“Wait!” I called out.
“What?” he said.
“I need a ride home,” I said meekly.
