"You what?!" I went to open my mouth again but he stops me. "So let me get this straight. For the last month and a half, Ryan has been paying you to use my studio." He says, trying to gather everything that was just unleashed on him. He sighs and looks at me.
"Sydney, this is absolutely insane." He says in a fatherly voice. "How did you even manage to do this?" He puts his hands on his sides and looks down at me.
"You're always gone." I say quietly. He leans a little closer.
"I'm sorry what?" He asks. I look up at him confidently.
"I said you're always gone." I said, causing his fists to ball up.
"I am not!" Excuse me sir, that is where you are wrong. "I'm a working man! I have an album to finish!"
"Then why isn't it done!" I shout. "The label estimated for the album to be ready to mix on July 23. That's three days from now Brendon! Look at the band, we only have six songs that we have fully written." I say loudly.
"Guys-" Ryan starts. Brendon steps forward and points his finger at my face.
"Don't you ever talk to me like that young lady!" He says in a snappy, disciplinary voice. "I am your father! Don't speak to me in that tone!"
"Guys-"
"Oh wait! I know why the albums taking forever!" I step back a little since he was so close. I still kept my strength though, I'm going to win this. "Little miss Angie is always running off with you!"
"Don't you dare-" Before he could go on, Ryan interrupts.
"Ok guys you need to chill right now!" He says putting one hand on my shoulder and the other on Brendon's, pulling us apart. "Can't we all just talk about this calmly." Brendon sighs and unclenches his fists. Ryan squeezes our shoulders softly. "Thank you." I look back at Brendon who's face had softened up a little. There was silence for a short period of time.
"Why." He simply asks.
"Why what?" I ask. He look at Ryan, then back at me.
"Just why? Why did you think that this was a good idea?" He asks, crossing his arms. I don't know what to say. I pause, trying to think of something.
"I...I don't know." Brendon sighs. "I just wanted to help him. At the time, I didn't know why he left panic and I wasn't thinking and I just-" Right as my voice cracks and a tear runs down my face, Brendon stops me by pulling me in for a hug.
"Hey hey hey, calm down." He says, I nuzzle into his chest and he sighs.
"Are you mad at me?" I ask, sniffing. He runs his hands through my hair and kisses the top of my head.
"Sydney," He sighs and puts his face in my hair. "How could I stay mad at you." He pulls away and points at me. "Don't you ever pull something like this ever again young lady." He says in a strict voice. I nod and he wipes my eyes. He then turns to Ryan. "Hey Syd? Could you give us a moment?" He asks, patting my shoulder.
"Yeah, of course." I say, walking to and up the staircase. I sit against the hallway wall and look down at them.
Brendon turns to him and drops his hands to his sides. "Hi George." He says with a cheesy smile. Ryan laugh and hugs him.
