"Syd you need to get up, we need to leave in an hour." I hear Dallons voice as he shakes my gently.
"I swear to god if you shake me one more time I will cut off your arms and legs, stitch your arms where your legs used to me and stitch your legs to the top of your head like rabbit ears." I hiss, still half asleep. I hear Brendon let out a loud laugh.
"Where did that come from?!" Dallon says laughing and confused.
I feel a smile slowly creeping on to my face before you finally open my eyes and let out a laugh. Dallon looks confused which makes my laughter even more intense. The door slides open and in walks Kenny. He pauses and looks at us.
"I feel like I missed something." He says, scrunching his eyebrows together. Dallon looks at him.
"Sydney threatened to rearrange my body parts." He said without laughing. This made me squeal and laugh even harder. All of the sudden, Angie's bunk curtain ripped open.
"Can you guys shut the hell up?! I'm trying to get my beauty sleep." She said. Does she know how loud theses men are? I've lost hour of sleep because of these idiots.
"If you're trying to get beauty sleep, I'm sorry you're on the wrong bus sweetie." I said. "Here on the panic bus, no one gets their beauty sleep." She huffs and looks at Brendon. He shrugs.
"Sorry babe, we're all pretty loud." He says, she pulls the curtain and groans.
"No one cares about me!" Dallon catches me right before I burst into laughter. His giant hand rests over my mouth. I look at him with wide eyes before licking his hand. He doesn't move.
"I have two children, do you think that bothers me?" He said tilting his head. "Are you going to laugh?" He asked, I shake my head. "Good, I don't want you to get in trouble." He said slowly removing his hand. I sigh and hop down from my bunk. I look over at the clock we had taped to the wall when we were on tour. It read 11:27, Dallon was right, we do have an hour to get ready. I lean down and open the spare bunk which hand my clothes bag in it. I zip it open and take out a change of clothes and yelling out "changing!". Angie groaned and yelled at me to shut up.
After changing into my change of clothes, I walk into the main lounge/kitchen area. I grab one of the mugs and pour myself a cup before sitting down next to Dallon. He looks over at me and smiles down. "Whatca' lookin' at fool." I said, in a lower voice.
"Your face fool." He replied, I take a long sip of my coffee before setting down on the table next to me. I then reach under the table and grab my ukulele, strumming a C chord. Brendon looks over at me. I quietly start playing random chords. As I play, I talk.
"So i was thinking, how am I going to do the acoustic set. I don't really have an acoustic guitar." I said. Brendon face palms his face and groans.
"Shit if forgot my acoustic, I was going to let you use it." He says. "I left it in the backyard studio." He says, sighing bad looking up at the ceiling. The studio, I almost forgot, Ryan needs to use it.
"She could use my old one." Kenny says. "It's still on the bus." He wiped his chin.
"Sounds like a plan." I said before setting down the small instrument and grabbing my phone. I scroll down to Ryan's contact and start to text him.
"Me: Hey, I almost forgot. We are in Seattle right now and we won't be back for a few days. You can use the studio."
I click send and put my ukulele away. I grab my coffee and lean into Dallons side. I take small sips as I listen to their conversations.
"Ryan: Thanks, heading there right now."
•AN HOUR LATER•
"Hello it's Jack, APs on the road interviewer. I am here today with the one and only Sydney Urie. How are you doing?" He asked me, looking at me with a smile. I smile back before lifting the mic to my mouth.
"I'm pretty good." I said. He looks down at the card he is holding. The rest of the band has another interview without me just in the other room.
"So we're just going to jump right into this. You have been nominated for an APMA award." He said, I nod. "How does that feel?" I sigh, it feels amazing.
"It's awesome!" I said. "It's absolutely amazing, I'm up against some of my favorite people which is a little scary but still, amazing." He smiles at me.
"Now you are the youngest member of panic, what's touring like?" He asks, placing one card at the back of the stack.
"Well, I joined the band during the spring tour so I only have a little taste of what touring is like. I like it though. Slightly stressful but it's fun." The interview went on for a while, we mostly talked about my nomination. The whole time I couldn't stop thinking about all the money I'm going to be getting from Ryan using the studio. I mean fifty bucks is a lot of money and for each time he uses it, god I'm going to be rich. The fact I get fifty every time he uses it makes me very happy.
"Well, thank you Sydney. It was awesome talking to you." He finished up the interview. "I wish you luck with your nomination." I smile and thank him. The interview ends and I met the rest of my band outside.
"Woot woot." Dallon cheers before looking down at his phone. "Ten minutes until the set." He says to us. Brendon looks at me.
"Do you want to get there early to meet the fans?" He asks me, adjusting his beanie. I smile.
"Let's go." I say before the two of us walk off. I turn around, Kenny and Dallon are staying exactly where they were. "Are you guys coming?" I ask.
"Nah, we'll get everything ready." Kenny says before they started waking in the opposite direction. Brendon and I start walking to the acoustic stage.
"I'm so used to walking alone to these things." He said with a smile, looking down. "I like it." Now looking over at me.
"I'm so used to watching you guys on YouTube fangirling." I said with a slight chuckle. He laughs.
"Were you a big fan before I adopted you?" He asks.
"Huge! I was a vine editor." I said still chuckling slightly. "I remembered one time you liked one of my posts and I cried for an hour." He looks at me. "Little did thirteen year old me know, her idol would adopt her." I said nudging his arm. He wraps his arm around me.
"That's amazing, we came in contact and didn't even know it." He says, squeezing my shoulder. I smile and lean into him. We make it to the door leading to the small stage and opened it. We were it with a wave of cheers. I look in to find over al least 200 people. We step onto the stage and greet the fans, the best feeling in the world. I try to ignore people I knew from my old school.
After we sigh a lot of stuff and make a whole bunch of pictures, Zack pulls us away.
