Unedited because I'm tired so excuse any spelling/grammar errors.

I groan as we walk off the stage. The set went really well, I'm just really tired. Brendon puts his arm around me.

"I'm guessing you're tired?" He says, ruffling my hair. I nod and lean into him. "It's only six Syd." I sigh.

"Well I'm tired." I said against is shirt. He stops walking.

"Want a piggyback ride?" He offers, I feel a smile grow on to my face.

"Yes please." I said, he then proceeded to help me onto his back. I wrap my arms around his neck and rest my head on his shoulder.

"Are you going to be able to stay awake tonight? There may or may not be a surprise waiting back at the bus for you." He says, my eyes light up.

"What type of surprise?" I ask him. He chuckles.

"You will have to wait and see." He smiles. "Let's just say I contacted someone who was looking for you." My mind swims with confusion, who would be looking for me? I rest my face into his neck and close my eyes. "Do you want some Starbucks before we go back to the bus?" I nod into his neck. "Alright, I think there's one downstairs. You are going to need some." He starts walking down the hall. I knew we were walking down the stairs when I felt my head bumping back and forth.

"Well, looks like you lucked out kid." I open my eyes and move my head up. There in front of us was a Starbucks. I slide off his shoulders and stand at his side. "Let's concur this coffee shop shall we." He says before we advance into the shop. I end on getting a vanilla frappe. He sit down at the table, I notice he doesn't have any coffee.

"No coffee for you?" I ask him, talking a sip of my coffee. He shakes his head.

"Acid reflex. With all the recording, not a good idea." I nod.

"Oh, ok. More for me then." I replied, taking another long sip. I start to feel the caffeine kicking in and my tired eyelids lift.

About twenty minutes later I threw away my cup and he looked down at his phone. "We better get going. According to Dallon, your surprise arrived." He smiles down at his phone.

"Why is there all of a sudden a surprise for me?" Brendon chuckles. He wraps an arm around me.

"You are going to love me for this." He chuckles.

"Like I don't already." He stops chuckling for a minute.

"Thanks kid, you really mean it?" I nod, he smiles at the ground. "We should get going, there's someone waiting for you in the bus." He tightens his grip around be as we walked out the door. After walking for a little, we make it to the bus. "How about you go in first." He said, pointing the camera at me.

"Why are you recording?" I scrunch my face up. He laughs, and points at the door.

"Go on now." He says through a smile. I try to open the door but it's locked. I type in the code and it opens. I slowly walk up the stairs and into the drivers lounge. "Go on, open the curtain." Brendon says. I slowly grab the curtain before pulling it. There standing behind the curtain was someone I almost forgot about. There standing there almost in tears was my old foster mother Jamie.

"Oh my god! Jamie!" I scream and run into her arms. She lets out a sob.

"I told you you'd go far, look at you now." She lets out a sigh. "I'm so proud of you Syd." I feel warm tears run down my face. I look over at Brendon you is recording us, he mouths "you're welcome." I smile at him and pull away from the hug.

"You did this?" I said to Brendon. He nods. "Yep." He chuckles. "You guys have the rest of the day to hang out and catch up." My smile grows.

"That you so much Brendon!" I run over and squeeze him. He puts both arms around me.

He pulls away and looks at me. "You guys should get going so you can make the most of the day." I look over at her, she wipes her tears and smiles. I walk over and grab my bag before walking to her side. I look over at Angie who is glaring at me. Being the immature teenager I am, I stuck my tongue out at her. She gasps and looks at Dallon who does the same. She crosses her arms an leaves the room.

"Let's go kid." Jamie says to me before we head out the door. Brendon pats my shoulder as I leave. Once we are outside, she looks at me and laughs. "You look older, more mature." She smiles.

"Is that a good thing?" I ask with a smile. She nods.

"Yeah, that's good." We make it to her car. "So how have you been?" She says, opening the door and getting in, I do the same.

"Great, the new schools good, made a few new friends, tourings fun." I say, she smiles.

"So how is he been treating you?" She asks, a little more seriously.

"Brendon? He treats me great, we're really close. I feel real safe with him." I said, smiling at what I said. It's true, I've never felt safer then with him. I continue. "He's really sweet, always there for me." I look out the window at the setting sun.

"He seems really nice, so how do the other guys treat you?" She asks, keeping her eyes on the road.

"The band?" I ask, she nods. "I'm like a little sister to them. They are very over protective. When I'm backstage, one of them is always at my side, it's Brendon's rule." I say, giggling a little at Brendon's rule. I guess it's smart though, since I'm the only girl and the youngest.

"So who are the other guys in the band?" She asks.

"Well, Dallons the tall one, Kenny is the short one with the beard, and Dan, well he is back in LA right now but he's the quiet one." She smiles at my descriptions.

"Dallons pretty attractive, I must admit." She says, raising her eyebrows and looks over at me. I guess I had a funny expression on my face because she burst into laughter.

"Jamie, he's married with two kids! No!" I say, she laughs harder.

"And Brendon, damn." She says, my eyes get wide and so does my mouth. "He has it all with that hair, that body, and those tattoos." She sighs.

"Jamie! Oh my god stop, you're freaking me out." I say.

"I can dream can't I?" She says, I sigh and chuckle slightly.

"So has your love life been working out?" I say, she gets filled with excitement.

"Yes! A few weeks after you left, I met a wonderful guys named Keith. He's great with the kids and just overall a sweet guy." She says, smiling the whole time. Finally, she found a guy who won't hurt her. The last guy she dated was a huge asshole. He treated her like shit and broke her heart. Looks like someone repaired it.

We spent three hours talking and catching up. Once those three hours were up, she took me back and we said our goodbyes.
