"Alright. Now if you guys could please make your way to the event area, that would be great." A lady with a clipboard says. We had just finished our APMA rehearsal and are now making our way to a huge building with a tall ceiling. We were met by a another girl.
"Alright. I'm going to need your band name." The girl says, looking up from her clipboard.
"We are Panic! At The Disco." Brendon says. He puts his arm around me. The girl looks at me.
"Is she over eighteen?" She questions. What?
"She's sixteen but she's in the band." Brendon says.
"Oh ok. Sorry, just a question we need to ask." She says with a small smile. "Just don't drink any alcohol and you'll be fine." She says to me.
"No problem." Brendon says. She hands us all access laminates and I hang mine around my neck. As soon as we walk in, I am hit with a wave of laughter and loud talking. The rest of the band walked away leaving Brendon and I facing the large groups of people. Then, a famous face turns to me and points at me while nudging a guy with short hair. The two guys were Vic Fuentes and Tony Perry.
"I told you she was a teenager! You own me ten bucks." Vic says, punching Tony. Tony turns around looks at me. Tony murmurs someone before they start walking over.
"Who are those guys?" Brendon whispers. I lean over and whisper back.
"Vic Fuentes and Tony Perry of Pierce The Veil. Tony is also nominated for best guitarist." I whisper just as they arrive.
"Hi! Vic Fuentes." Vic says to us, sticking out his hand to Brendon. "You must be Brendon of Panic! At The Disco?" He questions. Brendon smiles and nods.
"That's right, nice to meet you." He says, letting go of Vic's hand.
"Your daughter is up against my good friend here, Tony Perry." He says, patting Tony's arm. Tony smiles and looks at me, sticking his hand out. I take it and shake it.
"Nice to meet you." He says in his quiet voice. "So you're sixteen right?" I nod.
"Yep." I respond. Tony's eyes get big.
"That young and already nominated." He says with a smile. "That takes talent. I hope you go far with your career." He says. He puts his hands behind his back and smiles even more.
"That means a lot coming from you, thank you!" I say, trying not to fangirl and scare him away. Before he could say anything, Vic shouts at a girl who was holding hands with a girl a little shorter than her.
"Hey Lynn! Where's my twenty bucks?" He shouts across the room. This caused few heads to turn. One of those was Austin Carlile's. He comes walking over.
"You must be the famous youngster everyone's talking about." He says, smiling down at me. He's about a foot taller than me and towering above. "Austin Carlile." He says, sticking his hand out. I gladly take it and smile.
"Sydney Urie." I say. He then turns to Brendon.
"And you must be Brendon." He says, shaking his hand. "I've heard of your band before. Panic! At The Disco, right?" He asks. Brendon nods and smiles.
"Yep. And you are in..." Brendon trails off.
"Of Mice and Men." Austin says.
"Oh! I've heard of you guys before. Syd here loves you guys." He says. I groan and nudge his arm.
"Brendon!" I whisper. They both chuckle.
"Well it was nice meeting you two. Good luck with your awards." He says before walking back to his band. I turn to Brendon and start freaking out. He giggles and we continue to even more groups of people.
After a few interviews and meeting loads of other bands, we headed to our hotel. We had two connected rooms, each had two beds so we all got our own beds. Well, except for Kenny. But he's little and can fit on a couch. As soon as we walk in, I ran and jumped on one of the beds, claiming it as mine. Brendon laughs and walks over to the door connecting our room to the others. I watch as Dallon throws a pillow through the door, hitting Brendon in the back. Brendon picks the pillow up and goes running into the other room.
"How about we all act our age and not our shoe size?" I say, giggling and sitting up. I hear a full on laughter fest in the other room. I push myself off my bed and grab my suitcase, lifting it onto my bed. I then proceed to place my clothes in one of drawers. I hang my black leather jacket up in the closet next to where Brendon had his. I then walk back to my suitcase and take out a long sleeved, black shimmering dress along with some black heels. I lift the dress up high and smile at it. I'm going to my first awards show and I'm actually nominated for something. I run my hand on the black sequins and drape it over the chair in front of my bed. I take my heels and set them in the desk table.
After taking a shower and changing into comfy pajamas, I walk into the other guys room where everybody was. I take a seat next to Dallon on their couch and rest my head on his shoulder. He was working on his computer. I look over at Brendon who was also on his computer. Then, his phone buzzed. He picks it up and smiles at the message.
"Who was it?" Dan asks, putting his hands behind his resting head. Brendon looks at everyone with wide eyes.
"Shit, I didn't tell you guys did I." He says with a sigh. He must be taking about Ryan. Dallon sighs and rubs his eyes.
"What did you do now." He says through his sigh. Brendon looks at me.
"Should I tell them?" He says. I slowly nod and look down. He sighs. "Alright, this is going to take a while." He runs a hand through his hair.
Then he told them the story. (Lol, I'm too tired to write it out.)
Dallon and Kenny sit there looking at my me with wide eyes while Dan lays on his bed, asleep.
"How the hell did you not know about this! It was in your own house." Kenny says looking at Brendon.
"I don't know!" Brendon says with wide eyes. "I was just out a lot, I never noticed."
"Well maybe you shouldn't be out so much Brendon!" Dallon says. "Coming from another parent, you need to be more responsible." Dallon says.
"I know! And I'm going to start being more responsible. In still learning Dallon." Brendon says, pulling my tired body close.
"Good." Dallon says as my eyes get heavy. I lay my head on Brendon's chest and feel my eyelids get heavy. He runs a hand through my hair and sighs. "She's a good kid Brendon. She was just trying to do the right thing and it looks like it brought you and Ryan back together." Dallon says as I drift in and out of sleep. "She looks like she's crashing, she has a big day tomorrow. She should probably go to bed." He says. I feel Brendon's hand wipe the hair away from my face.
"I hope she wins." He says. "I want her to win this." He puts his arm under my knees and another on my back, picking me up. He carries me to our room and tucks me into my bed. Right before I drift off to a peaceful sleep, I look over at the chair where my dress hung. I smile and fall into a deep sleep. Tomorrows going to be great.
