She drives up to my drive way and drops me off. Good, she's not staying. I run up to my front door and turn my key. "Brendon! I'm back!" I yell. No answer, Bogart and Penny come running to meet me. Drop my purse and my shopping bags at the slip off my shoes. "Hello?" I yell. I hear rustling in the kitchen. I slowly make my way to the kitchen. There digging through the snack cabinet is Dallon.
"Hey Weekes." I shout. He jumps and drops a box of cookies. He quickly turns around.
"My god you scared me Syd." I giggle and walk over to the bar stools, taking a seat on one.
"What are you doing?" I ask. He picks up the box of cookies and puts it back in the cabinet.
"Checking for snacks for the movie night." He says.
"Movie night?" I ask, tilting my head. He nods and then gasps.
"I totally forgot that you've only been in the band for a little." He says, walking closer to me and setting his elbows on the counter. "Every once in a while, the band has a movie night. We all get together and watch scary movies and stuff." He says. I smile.
"Aw cool. Are we having one tonight?" I ask. He nods. "Awesome." He pushes off the counter and walks over to the fridge. "Is Angie going to be there?" I ask, less enthusiastically. He sighs and turns to me.
"Seriously, what is it with you and her?" He asks. "I mean, she's not that bad. Maybe she can be annoying but most people can be."
"I have my reasons." I say crossing my arms.
"I'd love to hear them." He says, digging through the fridge. I mean come one, you've only known her for what, two days?" I sigh.
"First of all, she flat out ditched me at the mall to go hang out with her friends. She left me with her roommate. Second of all, the way she looks at Brendon. I don't think she'd even in love with him. And third of all, she even told me she didn't like me when we were driving home!" I say. He closes the fridge and turns around, leading against the fridge.
"Syd..." He starts.
"No! I'm not even lying! You know me, I don't lie." I say, noticing I'm being a little too loud. I sigh and he walks over to me.
"Listen, I know you wouldn't lie. But Syd, don't you think your over thinking this a little?" He says. Uh no, whatever. "And no, she's not coming."
"Whatever. Where's Brendon?" I ask. He can tell I'm trying to drop the subject.
"Getting food for the movie night." He said.
"What movie are we watching?" I ask. He smiles.
"That's for me to know and for you to find out." He said. "Let me just say, it's scary." He says with a low laugh, I cringe.
"Ah don't do that, it's creepy." I say. He does it again louder. I groan, he laughs and stops. "So where are we holding this movie night?" I ask.
"At the studio." He says. At the studio, there's a lot of stuff. There's bunk beds if your recording overnight, a small living room with comfy couches AND a tv, and of course because it's a studio, there's a recording room and booth. I love the studio. We hear a door shut and we turn around, in walks Brendon with a few bags.
"I come baring food." He stops for a minute and looks in the bags. "And a few adult beverages." He says. I get up to help him with the bags. I grab own and walk with him to the kitchen. Once we got the bags onto the counter, he turned to me and hugged me. "Hey Syd, how was the mall?" He asked. Oh you know, horrible. Your girlfriend was a bitch and left me with her awesome roommate.
"We had fun." I said smiling. He pulls away and smiles.
"I knew you two would get along." He said. Yep, whatever you say Brendon. I walk over to the door and grab my own bags. "So what did you get when you guys were out?" He asked pointing at my bags. I go to the counter and set down my bags.
"Just some shirts and stuff." I say. I dig into a hot topic bag and pull out a shirt I bought. He laughs, I look at it. I had bought a panic shirt.
"You bought a band shirt of the band you are already in." He said. I snort and start laughing.
"Oh come on, you're telling me you've never don't this?" I say.
"Maybe once or twice." He says laughing.
I pick up my bags and run up to my room, making up a stupid song about movie nights as I run up. That's what happens when you live in a house of musicians. No kidding, Brendon sings about everything. I swear you could make an whole album of just him singing about our kitchen.
•FAST FORWARD TO THE STUDIO•
"Can you not?" I said as chips were being thrown at me. The guys were laughing as they threw the tiny slices of potato. Dallon, being the oldest walks over to me and shields me."Alright alright, that's enough. The poor girls a part of the band too." He said. The chip throwers held their fire and Brendon walked over to me, putting his arm around my shoulders.
"Are you ready for your very first band movie night Syd?" He asked excitedly. I laugh.
"Totally, now what are we watching?" I ask. We all look at Dallon who crosses his arms.
"I'm not answering until I get popcorn." He says. Brendon sighs.
"Dude, I didn't buy popcorn." He said.
"Well maybe you should go fix that problem. There's a shop a block away." He says, Kenny's cracking up. Brendon sighs again.
"Dallon-" Dallon stops him.
"Ah." He said. "I'd start walking if I were you. You never know, we might start the movie without you." Brendon sighs and heads for the door.
"Fuck you Dallon!" He says as he leaves. Kenny and I laugh and turn to Dallon.
"What, I wanted popcorn." He said. Walking over to the couch and sitting on it. Kenny walks over and sits on it too. I'm about to do the same but the studio phone interrupted me. They both looked at me and I sighed.
"Fine, I'll get it." I said walking out and down the hall, into the recording studio where the phone was. I walk over and pick it up. "Hello?" I say. I hear someone jump in the other end.
"Oh hi!" Said a male. "Is Brendon Urie there?" They said, they sound weirdly familiar. I snap out of my thoughts and return to the line.
"Sorry, he just left." I said, trying to identify this voice.
"Oh, well is Spencer Smith?" He asked. Should I tell him? Yeah I will.
"I'm sorry, he's not here either. Sad to say but he left the bad in April." I say, leaning against the table.
"Wait what?!" He man says, he sighs. "Oh my god Brendon you idiot!" The man said before hanging up. Um ok then. I walk back into the lounge to find Brendon popping popcorn. Dallon looks over at me.
"Who was it?" He asked.
"Just some weirdo asking for Brendon and Spencer." I say. "Now let's get this movie started!" I said hopping on the couch
