My hands shake as we enter the black limo. I take a deep breath and sit down next to Brendon. They were all laughing as the limo started up. Brendon notices my nervousness. He puts his hand on my knee, rubbing it with his thumb.

"Syd, why are you nervous?" He asks me gently. "You are going to do great." He adds. "Don't worry." I smile and pick at one of the sequins on my black dress.

"I know, I'm just nervous." I say, looking at my reflection in the window. My brown hair was in curls and my makeup was near perfect. I look over at Zack who was holding a backpack. In that backpack, my stage clothes were kept. I mean, there's no way I can perform in this dress or in heels, even though they aren't that high. I look back at Brendon who was now reaching for a bucket of ice where a bottle of champagne sat. He passes all the glasses around to everyone except Dallon since he doesn't drink. Brendon hands me a glass. I look at it with wide eyes.

"Under adult supervision, legally you're allowed to have a drink. Only one glass." He grabs the champagne and pours me a small glass before pouring everyone else a glass. He looks at me and smiles. "To our nominations." We all clink our glasses together and all take a sip. The small amount of alcohol slightly burns my throat. "Good luck Dallon and Syd!" He said in a girly voice. "Yas! Let's win this!" He said again, sipping his champagne.

"Oh my god why." I say giggling before taking another sip. Brendon then looks at me with wide eyes.

"Wait, Alex and Jack of All Time Low are hosting." He says with his wife eyes staring into mine. Then a smile creeps onto his face.

"Oh god, please don't." I say, covering my face with my hand.

"You've got me popping champagne!" He says, starting to scream the lyrics to Popping Champagne by All Time Low. I laugh at him and take my phone out of my bra. I record him singing and post it on my snapchat story. Only people from my school can see this so fans won't see the champagne in my hand. I caption it "On our way to the APMAs!" Brendon continues to sing very very loudly. I look over at Kenny who was laughing very hard.

"You are absolutely insane." Dallon says laughing softly.

"I know." Brendon says before continuing to sing. I slowly sip my champagne and laugh at Brendon. The limo ride was shorter than I thought. Before I knew it, Zack was telling us the amount of time we could stay on the carpet. He then opens the door and we are hit with a wave of screams. We all got out in an organized order. Zack, Kenny, Dan, Dallon, Brendon, then me. Brendon helps me out and puts his arm around me as we walked onto the carpet. That's when the cameras started flashing. I notice that the rest of the band had walked farther down the carpet leaving Brendon and I. All I hear is the sounds of cameras and photographers.

"Can I get a picture of you two?" Click.

"Sydney!" Click. "Over here!"

"Come on! Give us a smile." Click click click.

I smile at all the different cameras as other bands do the same. Brendon rests his hand on my shoulder and pulls me in a little.

"Sydney! Brendon! Could I get a quick interview?" I girl with blue hair and a septum piercing says, a camera labeled "Alt Press." lingers behind her. Brendon walks us over to her. "Alright." She turns to the camera and smiles, lifting her mic to her face.

"Hello everyone! I am here at the APMAs with Brendon and Sydney Urie. The father and daughter duo. How are you two doing?" She asks.

"Good! I say.

"Awesome." Brendon says, looking down at me with a smile.

"Great, you guys must be excited. Now Sydney, this is your first award show right?" She asks me, putting the mic in front of me.

"Yeah, my very first. I'm very happy to be here." I say with a smile.

"Well we are happy to have you. Brendon, you must be proud. Not even a year into being in a band and she's already nominated for an award." She says with another smile.

"Words cannot describe!" He says.

"Well it looks like Set It Off has arrived so I'll let you guys go now. Good luck Sydney!" She says before walking away. I look at Brendon and start freaking out.

"Oh my god, what if I win?" I say, gripping his arm as we walk down the carpet. He laughs and looks down at me through his sunglasses.

"Then I will be very proud of you." He says as I continue to hold onto his red suit covered arm. I smile and we pose for some more pictures.

The whole APMA carpet event lasted about two hours. We walk into the venue and walk way back to our seats. There was an area specifically for bands and we were in it. I look at Dallon who was smiling over at me. We perform a little less than half way through the show so I don't have to change for a little. We watch as people flood into the place. People go onto the stands too since it all wasn't general admission. Then, the awards started.

All Time Low opened the APMAs with a melody of classic songs. It was absolutely amazing. They then walked off stage before only Jack and Alex walked on.

"Alright! Bet you weren't expecting that!" Alex shouts. "Welcome to the 2015 APMAs!" He shouts, causing everyone to cheers.

"Alternative Press has always been a magazine that brings together all sorts of genres." Jack says, looking around. "Tonight we have a wide range from pop punk to even metal!" He says. "Along with that come a wide range of fans. These fans range from young to old, just like the musicians here today." Brendon looks down at me and smiles.

"That's right Jack. Not only do we have some old rock legends but we also have a young rockstar here with us today." Alex says. Wait, is he talking about me? "Can we please get a round of applause for the one and only, Sydney Urie!" I put my hands over my and smile as people start cheering for me. I look up at Brendon and he pulls me close. I see us on the two big screens next to the stage. This is amazing.

"For those who don't know who Syd is, she is the daughter of singer, Brendon Urie. After being adopted by him, she toured with the band before getting offered to be their rhythm guitarist." Jack says.

"She, of course, took it. I mean, who wouldn't want to be in their favorite band?" Alex adds. I giggle and they then continue to point out other bands.  "Anyways, this is the only night you'll see us wearing more makeup than Motionless In White." Everybody laughs including me. I have a feeling that tonight's is going to be amazing.
