A FEW DAYS LATER•

"Syd, it's like eleven. You should get up." Brendon says, walking over to my blinds and opening them. I hiss and pull my covers over my face. He pulls the covers off my face and takes my hands, pulling me. "Come on my little vampire." Once I'm on my feet, I fall back onto my bed. He sighs.

"Fine, you win." He said, I smile into my pillow. "I want you up when I get back though, if you could get the mail when I'm gone, that would be great too. I'll be back in about an hour, I just have to drop some gear off at the studio." I groan and cover my eyes with my hands. He leans down and kisses my cheek. "Love you." He said before rushing out of my room. I hear his car soon zoom off. I sigh and push myself upwards. My sleepy eyes try to adjust to the bright morning light. I swing my legs over the side of my bed and let them sink into the carpet.

I let out a loud yawn as I walk down the stairs. Small clicking paws meet me at the bottom. Penny and Bogart run around my feet. They follow my into the kitchen and to the fridge. Before I open it, I take a moment to read the newest paper that was stuck to our fridge. "Periscope Rules by Beebo." I sigh, oh my god Brendon. For the past few weeks, Brendon's been trying to get me to start doing periscopes. I lean against the counter and read in.

"Rule 1: Never share locations or private family information.
Rule 2: Always think before you speak about band stuff.
Rule 3: Try to be nice to the fans, their watching you for a reason.
Rule 4: If you're scoping at home, stay in the house and the backyard.
Rule 5: Always yell "scoping" when entering a room of people who care.
Rule 6: Don't give them any information about the new album until.
Rule 7: Start periscoping you dingus, I promise it's fun!"

I laugh at that last one, he's trying so hard to get me to start periscoping it's funny. I open the fridge and look around. I grab the carton on milk and set in on the counter. I then head to the cereal cabinet and grab some Frosted Flakes. After preparing that, I go and sit at the dining table. I grab my phone and start scrolling through my social media, occasionally taking a spoonful of cereal.

After about ten minutes, my cereal is sitting in my stomach. I decide to go get the mail. Brendon's already pretty stressed out with the new album and stuff, I don't want him to freak out over me not getting the main. I look down at my outfit, batman pajama pants and a Leathermøuth shirt seems like an appropriate outfit. Plus the mail box is only a house away. I slip on my flip flops and walk to the door. The warm morning breeze hits my face. I then start my walk to the mail box.

I turn the key and open it. I grab the stack of mail and start walking back. As I walk I go through it. There are some bills, a few letters from some venues, and one letter from alternative press, wait it's addressed to me. Why would they address it to me and not Brendon? Maybe I should open it. I stare at it for a while, a voice startles me.

"Morning Sydney. What are you doing out here?" A voice asks. I look over to see our neighbor Mrs. Carpenter grabbing the newspaper. I smile over at her.

"Morning! Well, Brendon left to drop some stuff off at the studio and he told me to get the mail while he was gone." I told her she smiles.

"Oh that man is running everywhere." She said. I smile at start walking again. Once I'm in the house again, I put the mail on the counter and walk up to my room to change. I pick out a twenty one pilots shirt and some black shorts. After putting those on, I hear the front door close. He's home.

I run down stairs and into the entry way, surprising him with a hug. He spins me around. "Good you're up." He says setting me down. "Listen, so when I was at the studio I thought of something." He says, we walk to the kitchen. "So, you know the song that's going to be on the album, Emperors New Clothes?" He asks, I nod. "So I was thinking, do you want to help with the music video, 'cause we're dead in the water right now." He asks, my mouth drops open.

"You're kidding me." I say. He giggles and shakes his head. "Dude! Of course I would!" I hug him again.

"Great, we have a meeting on it next week along with the discussion on Victorious, I think we should release it soon." He says.

"Victorious?" I ask.

"Yeah. The fans are gonna get mad if we don't release something soon." He said.

"True that." I say.

"Oh could you grab the mail?" He asks.

"Sure." I said walking to the counter and grabbing the bundle of letters. "Oh, there's one from AP." I say. "But it's addressed to me." I say looking down at it. He takes the other mail from my hands.

"Let's go sit down and open it." He says, we walk over to the lounge and take a seat.

"Why are they sending me a letter?" I ask, he shrugs.

"It might be asking permission to use pictures of you." He scans through his mail. "Maybe wanting to set up an individual interview." He says. "You should open it." He says, setting his mail aside. I nod and start tearing it open.

In the envelope sat two pieces of paper. I pull them out and sit the envelope on my lap. My mouth drops open.
