I had a routine that I followed every day, and it went like: wake up late, feel grumpy during school, go to sleep after school, don't sleep at night, and then wake up late. It's a cycle that caused 99% of the problems in my life. The other one percent of the problems were just classified as 'others'.

I lazily stuffed shit tons of books and papers in my locker, slamming it shut. This action caused a few unwanted attention.

I was walking to my wood-shop class, for the first time.

No, it wasn't the first day of school, I just had my schedule changed because I was causing "disruption" in my guitar class. Bullcrap. The only disruption I caused was that I gave a voice to everyone's thoughts. Threatening an annoying ass douche by telling him that you'll smash a guitar on his skull apparently boosts your title as a 'bitch'.

As I walked in the hallway, Jared, the annoying ass douche who caused my teacher to kick me out of the class, passed by sending a smirk towards me.

I glared.

Then I did what any girl/boy with the right state of mind would do, I put my foot in front of his as he walked with his pants sagging down, causing him to trip.

Now it was my turn to smirk.

"You fucking bitch! What the fuck is your problem?" He cursed me out as he stood up and pulled up his pants that were just a few inches above his knees.

Boys disgusted me.

"You are," I shouted and continued walking, earning some whispers and glares along the way.

I was finally able to find my class, a minute late but still found it.

I knocked on the door, peeking through the glass window to see if anyone was coming to open it.

The teacher himself opened the door, letting me in.

"Hi, I'm Mr. Adams, you must be..." He searched a paper in his hand, "Elijah?" The teacher said. I heard some snickers from the students.

"It's Aaliyah," I said before looking around only to see one open seat all the way in the front. I walked over there, placing my backpack on the floor and sitting on the high stool.

"Well Aaliyah, do you prefer any nicknames that you would like us to call you?" The teacher asked.

"You can just call me Lia," I said just as the person next to me started to drill a hole through a chunk of wood.

"Stop it, Hunter!" Mr. Adams shouted, "you're being very rude."

Very, very rude.

I was surprised to hear that name. I was too distracted to see my desk partner's face but it turned out to be just the person I hated.

Hunter sighed loudly, putting his tool back on the table.

"What was it you said?" The teacher asked shifting his gaze to me.

"Just Lia," I said.

"Okay, Justlia," he said.

"No, no no... Like just Lia."

"Yeah, that's how you pronounce it right? Justlia."

I'm done, I'm walking out of here. I'd rather go deal with Jared.

Hunter laughed from the left side of me. I gave him a glare signaling him to shut up but he only smirked in response.

Let's talk more about Hunter, shall we? Hunter was a typical ass, fucker, bad boy... Whatever you call a dickhead who plays with girls' emotions and then leaves them hanging.

Although, I do not completely blame Hunter. Girls desperately threw themselves on him just because... Why not be whores? And also the fact that his gorgeous dark brown hair and light brown eyes that stood out from his sharp features and the tiny stubble that was always present on his defined jaw didn't help the girls from falling for him either. The muscular body was just a bonus.

"Are you here to destroy our classroom too?" He asked quietly, "what now? You're gonna drill holes through people's skull... Should I be scared?"

"First of all, I didn't actually hit him with a guitar. Second, keep talking to me and I might just do it," I said switching on the drill that sat in front of me.

"You're crazy," he laughed.

"Shh Hunter! Don't scare the only girl away from our class" someone said from behind me.

I turned around to see the owner of the voice and to my expectation, it was Hunter's friend, Zach.

I registered his words and looked around to the faces of the students in the class only to notice boys. All boys. No girls.

"Unless you are gay, you should be happy with the sight, " Hunter said when he noticed me looking around.

"It's actually 'lesbian' when you are referring to a girl-" and at that, I was cut off.

"Okay, smart-ass," he mumbled.

I smirked in response, "I take that as a compliment."

I turned around to face the front.

"Okay, so! Today we are going to learn the correct way of drilling a hole on an oak plank" Mr. Adams said.

I heard Hunter sigh.

For the next 15 minutes, Mr. Adams babbled on and on about How To's and How Not To's when drilling a hole.

I walked out of the class feeling like an expert at drilling.

What did I learn from math class?

Math = a headache.

When it was finally lunch time, I made my way to the cafeteria. I walked over to my table where Alicia sat with her food tray in front of her. I sat down across from her but she refused to look up from her food tray.

"I hope I find someone who looks at me the way you look at food" I whispered bending down close to her.

"Oh hey! Didn't see you there," she smiled.

"How was the guitar class?" I asked, taking out a peanut butter jelly sandwich from my lunch bag.

"I fell asleep, how did your new wood shop class go?" She asked stuffing fries in her mouth.

"Let's just say... I'm now an expert at using the driller tool" I smiled.

"Good, I'll let Jared know that" she laughed.

"Also let him know that we are learning how to cut wood, tomorrow" I smirked.

Hey, what's up?!

I don't know how well this book will go but I hope to finish it...

Well... The real questions are:

What do you think of Aaliyah??

And Hunter?

How about Jared? Should I add more of him in the book?
