Before I gave my body a chance to protest against walking, I started in the direction to my house. I hadn't taken five steps before I heard a honk. I turned around to see a black car, slowly driving next to me. I glanced in and spotted Hunter.
"Get in," he said just as he rolled his window down. He seemed to have said that out of pity because his face showed a completely different expression. His jaw was clenched and his eyes glared at me.
"I'd rather walk," I spat looking down at my phone and continued walking. 39 minutes to go.
"I don't have time for your bullshit, just get in the damn car," he said with anger laced in his voice.
"I'm giving you bullshit? Please... Do you even hear yourself half the time you speak?" I asked outing my frustration.
"Get in the car, dammit!" He said even louder. He was shouting at me like I was his pet who he fed and raised.
"Why would I?" I glared into the car, right into his brown eyes.
"Because unlike you, I'm not a bitch," he retorted, "I know not to let a girl walk around in an unknown neighborhood at night."
"Fucking sexist," I groaned.
"Get in the fucking car, Lia!"
The way he said my name sent shivers down my spine. He said it with such disgust. What have I done wrong to him. He talked to me like I was a piece of shit.
"Honestly, I'll run over you if you don't step in this damn car," He said, causing me to step out of my mental breakdown.
I groaned and stepped around the front of the slowly moving car, which caused him to slam the brakes quickly. I opened the door and stepped in only to hear him yelling.
"Are you fucking crazy?! Why the fuck did you walk in front of the car?!" He shouted, "fucking dumb bitch!"
His yelling made me grin. It felt good to make him just as angry as he made me. Even though it did hurt when he called me a dumb bitch.
He took a glance at me when he didn't hear me come up with any comebacks, "why are you laughing? You're fucking crazy, you know that?"
I grinned even wider, buckling my seatbelt. I didn't know why I found it so funny when he was shouting at me like I was a five year old.
"You could've died if I didn't slam the brakes!" He shouted again.
"Oh thank you so much for saving my life, it now belongs to you," I mocked him, sarcastically.
"Bloody hell, you're an ungrateful bitch too!" He said taking a glance at me.
"That's me!" I cheered in a high pitch voice. He shook his head in disbelief.
"What am I going to do with you?" He said still shaking his head.
"Nothing, drop me off home. That's what you're going to do."
"Oh fuck," I suddenly said causing Hunter to close his mouth before he could retort anything else.
"What?" He asked.
"I was supposed to sleep at Austin's tonight," I sighed.
"Whore," I heard him mutter with a frown.
"What am I going to do..." I ignored his annoying comment.
"Here's an idea, you can go to your house," He said like he was talking to an idiot.
"Oh thank you so much Hunter, I don't know what I'd do without you," I said with sarcasm, "I told mom I will be at Austin's."
