Hunter's P.O.V.
I don't remember anything from my house party I held a few years back. I just remember this girl, standing on top of the coffee table with a bottle of alcohol in her hand. I don't remember what she was drinking. Neither do I remember anything else. I just remember her and her words.
"I like you... you're an asshole! But I like you!" She tried to stabilize herself as she shouted, "I don't know why! You probably don't even know me! I just can't fucking help it!"
I really didn't know her. And I didn't understand what she meant but all I know is that she was pointing at me with the bottle in her hand.
"You!" She stared at me and said, "It's you! Asshole!"
I asked Austin about it the next day and he said he doesn't remember anything.
After five years, I realized it was her. She made me curious about her since the day I found her existence.
I didn't take what happened at the party too seriously. Mostly because she was holding a bottle of liquor. And also, because I was drunk and my vision was blurry.
She couldn't have meant what she said and there was no reason for me to go after her if she wasn't going to come out and tell me how she feels when she is sober.
I regret it.
I should've gone after her.
Am I being too dramatic?
Love does that to you.
"What are you thinking?" She said poking my cheek.
"Huh? Oh, nothing much," I told her with a smile which she returned, "past."
"What about the past?" She asked.
What do I tell her? I didn't want her to think I was making fun of her for confessing her feelings first.
"Just thinking about how happy I am now than I was in the past," I told her and her smile widened.
"You're being too much right now," she got up, grabbed my keys and tossed it to me, "we have college tomorrow and dinner with mom after class."
"Oh, right!" I quickly got off the bed and walked out the door, but not before kissing my baby goodnight.
"Dream about me," I yelled out to her.
"In your wildest dreams!" This was something she always said.
She never openly told me how she felt unless I asked. She agreed to everything I said.
"Because I don't want us to fight and I don't want you to leave me," she always told me whenever I asked why.
"You can tell me how you feel, I won't leave you. It's a promise," I told her and she nodded her head.
"I'll try," she always said but she never really tried.
She was always the same which made me think it was really her personality, and I accepted it. Now, knowing she won't tell me how she really feels, I often ask for her opinions.

"Guys wait! Nicole is coming with us," Austin said when we were all about to leave for lunch before we went our separate ways for the next class.
"Where is she?" Jared asked.
"She's in the restroom" Lee smiled, "touching up her make-up."
"Goddamn it, tell your princess to put on her make-up faster," Zach whined.
None of these guys changed much.
Besides each of them finding a girl they liked. All of us were dating and I was glad because I always felt insecure when they were clinging to Aaliyah.
"She is effortlessly hot," Austin defended which caused Lee to snort.
"You! You, don't laugh at me while you're clinging to your guy," he glared at Lee.
"I was just going to say, let's have a movie night!" Lee shrugged her shoulders, "but whatever if you don't want to."
They still had movie nights and I grew to accept it. I didn't want their friendship to change just because I came into her life. And I didn't feel insecure anymore, I trusted both of them with all my heart. In fact, I was happy to know that they were still as close friends as ever.
"Ugh, you know exactly how to get out of trouble," Austin said, "mine at 7."
"Just have dinner at Austin's. Mom, Devil and I will eat together for a change."
"He's sucking up to his mother-in-law," Jared laughed, "so cute!"
"Fuck you!" I said and everyone else laughed. Lee also laughed along with them.
Jared wasn't completely wrong, she will be my mother-in-law sooner or later, anyways.
