I was working on my lab report the whole afternoon, Austin didn't want to even help me with his parts. I had to do the whole project all by myself.
Just as I was about to turn the page of my chemistry book, my room door flew open.
"Can't you knock?" I shouted, knowing it couldn't have been anyone but my brother.
"Can't you lock the door?" He rolled his eyes.
"Don't give me your unnecessary sas," I said looking down at my book.
"Anyway, can you take me to the park?" I felt my bed dip down and I looked up to see my brother laying on the edge of the bed.
"I have homework," I wrote down some of the databases that Austin and I had recorded when doing the lab.
"I'll tickle you until you give up and come with me," he grinned, "it's better if we cut straight to just going to the park."
I groaned standing up, closing my book. I knew he would actually tickle me until I was on the floor, yelling for him to stop.
"Devil, How old are you?" I asked walking out of my room.
"Thirteen," he said following behind me.
"Why can't you go across the street without me?" I asked annoyed, making my way towards the shoe closet.
"The park is not across the street," he defended himself.
"Well yeah, a right, a left and then you cross the street... But still, it's not impossible to get there alone," I said.
"Why do you want to go the park anyways? What are you, like 5?" I asked.
"No... We are having a volleyball game," he said.
"As if any of y'all tiny asses know how to play volleyball," I said putting my sneakers on.
"They taught us in gym class and we want to practice because our team always loses" he frowned.
"It's probably because you are in the team," I smirked standing up.
"Yeah, says the one failing gym class," he said walking out of the front door behind me.
We walked to the park and sat on the bench waiting for his friends to come.
"When are your buddies going to be here?" I asked him.
He looked at his wrist watch, "we are... 20 minutes early."
"You've got to be..." I groaned.
"We can play soccer until they come..." He suggested.
"Anything to make the time go faster," I said.
He took out his volleyball from a plastic bag, "guess we will have to work with this."
I stood up and walked a little further and we kicked the ball around.
"Ouchhhh," I screamed at the pain of the volleyball forcefully hitting me right in the face.
"Karma is a bitch even to bitches," Devil laughed but eventually came over to help me up.
"Get away from me," I said with anger, standing up.
