I had been sitting on the couch wearing Austin's oversized t-shirt and basketball shorts. I didn't realize I was drinking more than I had ever planned on doing until I counted the beer cans in front of me. I was on my fourth drink.
"Austin, you are a bad influence on me," I said taking another sip from the cold beer can that sat on the coffee table.
"I know," he smiled, moving closer and placing his head on my shoulder.
My eyes were getting dry from staring at the screen. There was a horror movie playing in front of us, I was too busy drinking to even read the name of the movie.
Horror movies didn't even scare us anymore, we watched it as if it was some chick flick, in complete boredom.
"This is getting boring," I whined leaning my head on Austin's head that was still resting on my shoulder.
"I'll entertain you," Austin smirked pulling his head away from mine, only to bring his face closer. His face was hovering an inch away from mine, one little move and our lips would touch.
"I think I'd rather sleep," I said looking away from him.
"That's not fun either, though," he said pulling his face away from mine.
I groaned.
"Why isn't this the same anymore?" I asked.
"I think it's the same," he said.
"No, you weren't this... Awkward before," I said gluing my eyes back in TV.
He ignored my statement and continued to look at the TV.
"Do you want to watch another movie?" He asked and I nodded.
He stood up, the warmth that radiated from his body disappeared and suddenly I felt chilly.
While he searched for the movies, I felt my eyes getting heavier. I forced open my eye lids, trying to stay awake.
"Hey Austin, let's just go to sleep," I said and my eyes started to close on their own again.
"You do seem sleepy," he stood up and I can hear his footsteps, my eyes already drifting closed.
Before I realized, I was being lifted into the air, one hand on my back and the other behind my knees. I opened my eyes to see Austin smirking down at me.
I almost screamed, clenching my arms around his neck, "put me down!"
"I don't think you're awake enough to walk," he laughed, I looked around to see he had already exited the living room and now was on his way to his room.
In just a few seconds I felt soft mattress below me, and I opened my eyes to see Austin's face ever so close.
"Goodnight, love," he smiled taking his hands out from underneath me.
"Nighty Austy," I smiled before my eyes closed.
In a second, I felt the other side of the bed dip, I didn't need to open my eyes to know it was Austin. He pulled the cover over himself, while also pulling it over me.
The rest, I don't remember. I was too comfy under the covers to let my mind think anymore.
I woke up to hot breath on my neck and an arm around my stomach. I opened my eyes to see peaceful Austin just laying there with no worries about life. I smiled at the sight. I lifted his hand off me and sat on the edge of the bed.
