I was a senior without a life. I had nothing to look forward to in school so mom decided for me that I should join a club. No, not a club club... An after school activity club. Being halfway done with senior year, not many options were open.

Other than prom committee. Yup, my life had come to decorating an event that I haven't even planned on attending.

Now, I was sitting awkwardly in my first meeting with the committee.

"So, Aaliyah" A guy said smiling at me, "what made you join us?"

"My mom" I answer straightforward and his smile fell.

"You're mom is a wise one, I must say."

I waited for him to get to his point.

"Um, alright well... We are currently working on picking out a theme. That is why this meeting is being held today" he smiled at everyone and stopped at me.

"But Elliot, didn't we discuss the theme at the end of last meeting?" A brunette interfered.

"Yes we did Amy, but we all came to the conclusion that flowers is not a good theme" Elliot said making a few laugh.

Flowers theme? Who even thought of that?

"Oh" Amy looked down at her floral dress in disappointment.

Never mind, I take my question back.

The girl, Amy, had flowers everywhere on herself. She wore a flower necklace, a pair of flower ear rings, her bracelet, and her dress. Everything about her was... Flowery.

"How about we do a moonlight theme?" Another brunette suggested.

"Not bad" Elliot grinned, "any other ideas?" He asked looking around.

"I agree with the brunette" I said with a nod, making the girl smile at me.

It was funny how I had been in the same school for four years, yet, I barely knew anyone's name. I can't be the only one.

"Stace, you're late" Elliot said looking towards the door.

Please don't be Stacy, please don't be Stacy, Were my only thoughts as I turned to look towards the door.

It was Stacy.

Fuck, why would she be here? No offense to her, but she didn't look like the volunteer type. She rarely did stuff she was actually supposed to do to graduate.

"Ugh, bitch" she said when she saw me looking at her for longer then a second.

"Ugh, hoe" I matched her tone as she took a seat next to Elliot.

"Why are you here?" She bent foreword to look at me past Elliot's muscular body.

"The bigger question is, what are you doing here?" I asked, "since when did hoes start volunteering?"

"Since they were in risk of not graduating" Amy chuckled, only to receive a glare by Stacy.

"Thank god, I thought the world turned upside down..." I mumbled leaning my back against my chair.

For the next half an hour, we discussed the theme. The theme, Moonlight, was actually a really good idea. The committee agreed that the decorations will include a lot of stars and purple-blue walls. The party ball would represent the moon. For some odd reason, I was actually looking forward to see how it would turn out.

"Thanks everyone for attending the meeting, we will meet again next Thursday" Elliot ended the meeting and everyone walked out.
