The weekend seemed too eventful to last forever, so now I was back in school living my life to the fullest.
I was exhausted. Not talking to anyone but my friends, was the plan for today. Yet again I was stuck at my locker with Jared leaning against the locker next to mine, smirking down at me.
"Did you go home and cry?" He asked with amusement laced in his voice.
"No Jared, I didn't cry," I said as if I was talking to a 5-year-old.
"Then, your love for him wasn't real," I said with a shrug.
"Oh? Since when are you a love expert?" I asked watching a smile appear on his face.
"I've been out there a lot, kid," he smirked.
Ah, kid. Back to that insult. He was trying to remind me about my humiliating rejection. I don't know what he got out of my pain but I wasn't going to show that it affected me even one bit.
"Oh dear Jared, oh so dear Jared. If you're trying to make me cry or anything, it's not working so just give up and while you're at it, give up on life too," I sent a smirk like none of his words made any difference, when I knew damn well that it did.
"I have to give it to you, you're good at concealing your true feelings," he said without any expression on his face.
"I'll tutor you," I chuckled.
"Come drop me off to guitar," he said out of nowhere.
"No, why would I want to do that. You're the dude, aren't you suppose to drop me off?" I protested closing my locker and locking it.
"Just come," he said throwing his arm around my shoulders and neck. I tried to duck out of his grasp but he just tightened his arm around me.
He was smiling at the girls passing by, ever so casually. While here I was trying not to choke from how tightly my neck was being held.
"Jared, get your heavy ass off me," I said trying to throw his hand off but it only got tighter.
"It's all muscles, baby," he smirked and I cringed at the word 'baby'.
"You'll be thankful so just play along, will you?" He whispered just as we reached my guitar class, well... His guitar class.
"Play along with what-"
"You were great last night, Lia," Jared's voice so loud, it caused everyone in the class to stop playing guitar and look up at us.
He dragged me to his seat, his arm still wrapped around me.
"I was wha-" I was cut off again.
"Oh babe, don't make me say it again. Alright fine, I'll say it one more time. You were great last night," there was a huge smirk playing on his lips.
I looked around to see everyone's eyes on me. I still had no idea why he was doing it.... Lucas! He was doing it because Lucas rejected me. I looked around the classroom to spot Lucas sitting with a guitar on his lap. His eyes were glued in our direction.
"Thanks, babe," I giggled like a madma- madwoman.
Jared smiled at the sight of me playing along, "are you busy tonight?"
"Nope, not at all. I'm all yours," I smirked when I noticed Lucas's face turning red.
"What did you fucking do to her?" I was thrown out of Jared's grasp.
