It was finally the day I got to experience everyone, and I mean everyone, in the school talk about me. And not in a good way. It was time to test my strength, and count how many shits I gave.
"All I can say is, good luck!" Jared said, standing beside me.
"I don't need it," I smirked.
"Are you not scared at all?" He asked me with concern in his eyes, "I mean, I would be."
"I'm concerned but not to point where I'd let my day be ruined," I smiled at him.
"Well... you're strong. Keep it up, I'm out."
With that, he left me standing at my locker.
"Hey, Aaliyah," Someone tapped my shoulder and I turned around to encounter my first bully. It was a girl I knew from sophomore year. We didn't talk after that because we didn't have any classes together.
"Hi," I smiled sweetly at her. I was expecting something bitchy in return.
And I was right, as she opened her mouth and let out, "Wow, you've changed. You were an innocent little girl and now you're sharing bed with random guys? I was not expecting that, lol," yes, she said 'lol'...
"But you're still the same, does everyone know that you wear a wig everyday to school?" I asked her.
"Umm, you bitch. What's wrong with wearing a wig..."
"Nothing, that's what I'm saying. So you wouldn't mind if I told everyone about it, right?" I replied, remaining calm and cool.
I wasn't trying to insult her, rather I was indirectly trying to tell her to be and do whatever she wants to do without feeling ashamed of it.
"Whatever," and with that, she left. I guess she didn't get my message.
I still stood there, waiting for Hunter to show up as he promised. He told me he wanted to check up on me after he told Stacy to "fuck off," his words, not mine.
"Hey love," I heard someone say.
I couldn't help but smile at Austin's words, "are you still going to call me that?"
"Why, are you scared that people might talk?" He smirked.
"I don't think talking more than this is even possible," I told him with a grin.
"Did you get bitten by a bully yet?" He asked me, casually but I can see concern in his eyes.
"By like one, the rest just looked at me with disgusted face and walked away," I said.
"Well, I wish you luck my dear," he said, pulling me into a hug and kissing my forehead.
"Hey man, you're not allowed to do that anymore," Hunter showed up and separated both of us.
He then pulled me into a hug and looked at Austin with a smirk, "she's mine, now."
"My heart is officially broken," Austin looked between Hunter and I, before walking away.
After that, we walked to the wood shop class. The guys winked at Hunter and highfived him as if they thought I didn't know what was going on.
"Yo, Hunter. How can you do this to yourself? Why using used girls? Bruh, there are many brand new ones in this school," someone who seemed like a douchebag, said. He was in my wood shop class, I saw him talk to hunter once or twice.
