Kiera's POV◆33

The moment his eyes met mine, my heart felt as if it was ready to explode. It wasn't ready for that. Carrie looked at me and back at Miranda, signaling to her that they should go sit, leaving me alone, not giving me an option whether I talked to Hunter or not. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him slowly walk in my direction. "Still mad?" I asked, hoping I didn't sound desperate. He looked up, but didn't look me straight in the eye and shrugged his shoulders. "Hunter, I don't know why you're still mad. I apologized numerous times," I spoke the truth. "My fans mean more than anything to me. I could have gone to jail for helping a minor run away," he said and I know he meant every word. I looked down, hoping that the tears welling up in my eyes didn't ruin my make up. His silence made me look up, and as soon as I did, "I'm not mad. A little hurt still, but I'll get over it." Smiling slightly, I asked, "Where are you sitting?", hoping it was close. "Umm..." he took the piece of paper that tells where my seat was, "Right behind you," He said, matching my small smile. We walked, side by side, to the red cushioned seats, and sat for ten minutes until it started. Once the awards for Music Video of the Year and Best Summer Song are given, Carrie walked on stage and said, "These men are more that just amazing when it comes to looks, they are some of the most talented people country music has ever known. Coming up next is the award for Best Male Artist. Here are your nominees. Blake Shelton, Toby Kieth, Kieth Urban, Hunter Hayes, and Chris Young. Your winner for Best Male Artist, performing his new song, If You Told Me To, Hunter Hayes!" The crowd cheered as the blue eyes boy ran on stage holding his bright red guitar. I stood up and cheered with the rest of them, while he started playing the intro. Once he was done singing, he smiled at the ground and began his speech, "Wow, this is so cool! First, I would thank the label for giving me my start. I'd like to thank the guys, I couldn't do this without you, you're like my family, and I couldn't ask for better friends or a better band. Thanks to my parents who have supported me through everything. Lastly, thanks to Kiera who gave me the idea for this song, even if she didn't know it." He looked directly at me and smiled, walked off the stage, and took his seat behind me, in between Sam and Matt. I heard Sam laugh a little behind me and whispers, "You just made it so awkward for her." I felt Hunter burning a hole in the back of my head. "She doesn't think of it that way and neither do I," he said just loud enough, hoping only Sam could hear. I turned around, "You know I'm not deaf right?" I smiled at the boys. Sam laughed, while Hunter looked at me, his face pale. I turned to Sam, "Hunter's right, I don't think of it that way. Hunter and I are just friends. I don't even like him that way, or know him enough to." The color returned to Hunter's face as he heard my words, "Told you," he said smiling at Sam. I've never really been introduced to the band. I don't even know them, "So Hunt, you gonna introduce me?" He looked at me confused for a minute, "Oh yeah, I guess I never really did that. Okay, well this is Sam Ellis, Matt Utterback, and Steve Sinatra, my band members. Guys this is-" Matt cut him off, "Kiera, the girl he's been stalking ever since they had a fight," he said, obviously embarrassing Hunter. Did he really think about me when we were fighting? He didn't completely forget about me?
