27◆Kieras POV
It'd been 3 days since I last talked to Hunter, but it stopped bothering me. Carrie and I had been having a lot more girls nights out and me and Benny had been having sister-brother time. I'd missed spending time with my family. I was always really close with Ben, closer then I ever was with my mom. It may seem strange, but I never knew anything about my father. I'd never really asked. It didn't bother me with it just being my mom and me. We were happy, so I didn't mess with it. As I mentioned, me and Carrie had spent almost every minute together. She had mentioned how the CMT Awards were coming up in two months, and how she'd love to take me. I accepted the offer, of course. Today was one of the very few days that I was alone. I decided to take a walk over to the Smoothie Shop to pick up a few magazines and hang out for a while. I glanced over the covers and picked out one that looks the most interesting, ordered my smoothie, payed, then sat down. While I flipped through the pages, I spotted a lot of familiar faces, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Justin Moore, and "Rising Country Star: Hunter Hayes". Of course. Startled by the sound of slurping air through my straw, I got up and headed to Bens house. I head to the barn where I turned the music up all the way. The barn was decorated with pictures of old times I had in Louisiana, CD covers, and much more. Ben built a bigger barn about 10 yards from this one for the animals he's raising. He was gonna knock this one down, until me and Carrie begged him to leave it. Now it was my studio and hang out area. Out here I sang, danced, wrote, worked on photography, studied, do anything I had to do. Last time I was here I attached white Christmas lights to the ceiling beams so I'd have light. One of the best ideas Ben had ever come up with. I remembered when I was 15, 2 years ago, when Ben and Carrie first moved out here, I used to bring out a pillow and sleep out here for days. Mama thought he was crazy, moving here so young. She kept saying how the relationship would only last months, if that. Boy, was she wrong. I honestly believe that what Ben and Carrie have is true love. I hope to, one day, look at a man the same way Carrie looks at my brother.
