Keiras POV
After the last performance, the audience cheered and Hunter grabbed my hand, half running, half dragging me backstage, beating the croud out of their seats. "Where are we going?" I yelled to Hunter who was still dragging me. "Hunter I'm in a dress!" He laughed in reply. "Shhh," he hissed. I rolled my eyes and held up my dress, running to catch up to him. He suddenly stopped in front of a door with a glowing exit sign above our heads. Not moving his eyes from mine, he opened the door with one hand, holding my hand with the other. Hunter continued running, with me not far behind. The sun had already gone down and it was now 11 p.m. We got to Starbucks about half of a block down the road from where the awards were being held. We burst through the heavy glass door, running on line.
"May I help you?"
Panting from our run, Huntee answered, "Yeah, Ill have a vanilla frappe and she'll have a carmel latte."
He remembered. After the fighting, the silence, the award show nominations, he still remembered what I ordered all those times. This may sound cheesy, but that really said something.
The girl's voice snapped me out of my day dream, "Names?"
"Hunter and Keira," he smiled at the picture perfect blonde girl who stood before us. Still fighting to get air into our lungs, Hunter grabbed both of our drinks and looked at me smiling.
"I uh," I stuttered, "I could take that?" I held out my hand, feeling bad that he carried them both.
"Nah, it's okay. Wanna take a walk ot stay here?" I looked around, deciding on which option would let us spend more time together. "Walk just let me change," I finally chose and we did so.
Hunter handed me my drink, his cheeks lifted to form a grin.
Hunter's POV
"Wanna walk or stay here?" I asked. I could tell that, for her, this was an important question, although I don't know why. You've could've practically seen smoke coming out of her ears as she thought. "Walk just let me change," she finally answered. I smiled when she came back and carefully placed the cup in her small hands. We went outside and began our journey. We walked in silence for a while. It wasn't an awkward silence, we were just enjoying being together again, or at least I was. We hadn't talked in quite some time. I think it'd actually been a few monthes. Unfortunately, I wasn't mad at her that whole time, though. Most peoole would take it as a good thing, not being mad, but it wasn't, not for me. It wasn't that I didn't want to text her, or call her, or talk to her in any way possible. I was just simply busy. It sounded like some BS excuse but, In this case, it wasn't. In these monthes, I was at a show almost every other day, interviews constantly, and sometimes I didn't have cell service. If I couldn't talk to her then, and half the time I didn't even want to, then what was I supposed to do if we became friends? Not being friends with her would suck, but not being able to talk to her as my friend would suck even more. I couldn't have this go to far, as much as I wanted to.
"Remind me again why you made me run in a dress?" I heard her after five minutes of quiet.
"You'll see," I flashed a devious smile, knowing that there really was no reason.
"You scare me sometimes, Hayes," she faked a scared face.
