[A/N: I drew the picture above with my tablet (with help from a bunch of sources), so sorry if it isn't any good. I based this chapter loosely off of Aladdin, hence the picture, hope you guys like it, also because of that It's a tad longer than what I usually write so I'm sorry if you aren't okay with that.]
Kageyama Tobio X Male!Reader
( Narrator P.O.V )
Once upon a time, there lived a miserable, grumpy, prince who was being forced to find a wife before he turned 18 years-old. But there was one thing that the king didn't account for when looking for a wife for his son...... his son was gay.
"Tobio, you need a wife, you are turning 18 soon" Kageyama's father, the king, complained
"All the female suitors you have brought me, are asses. None of them actually want to love me. You need to see things from my perspective and try to remember how it was when you were a kid" Kageyama retorted with a bland and agitated voice
"Tobio, I'm not getting any younger" the king commented "and I need a worthy king to rule this country"
"Whatever" Kageyama turned around and stormed out to the outside garden. Out there his only friend, a black Panther, awaited him.
Kageyama Tobio, the only son (and child) to the king of Karasuno. Kageyama can be a very difficult child, with his minimal vocabulary
"DUMBASS!"
and his short temper. When a suitor has come for Tobio's hand in marriage they are soon turned off by this matter, most of the women that have seen Tobio want a man who can protect them, which he can do but Tobio is keeping a secret from his father about his suitors.... They're too female for him, yes that's right Tobio is gay (as stated before).
Tobio is also already in love. Well who wouldn't be after what he experienced 4 years ago with a boy from the outside?
------Back then------
Kageyama stood at the wall, his hand touching the taunting surface, the cold repealed him
"Get back here!" Kageyama heard a sharp voice call for someone, before he knew it a small figure lept over the wall, his (hair color) hair and (eye color) eye's all a blur after he landed on Kageyama. "Go! Protect the prince!" The man's voice worriedly said
"Wops" The little boy said getting off Kageyama and trying to walk further but only falling back onto the grass "Damn, my ankle" he said to himself and then mumbled something else as he seemed to be protecting something little and fragile.
Kageyama sat up, holding his head
"Prince!" Oikawa showed up in an instant, his fury unmatching "How dare you vermin touch the prince" Oikawa unsheathed his sword and raised it against the intruding boy
"Wait!" Kageyama got up and placed himself between the boy and Oikawa "Leave him alone!" Kageyama's voice cracked as he called, looking down to the ground
"As you wish....brat" he mumbled the last word as he adhered to Kageyama's wish "Just take the boy out of the wall's....?" Kageyama looked behind him, and the boy had somehow vanished.
-----Present-----
He stared at the walls, which he had yet to be over in the 18 years he's lived. He wondered every day and night since his 14th birthday what was over the walls, that boy opened a whole new world to him, but he was never brave enough to climb over and seek out a world unknown to him.
"What should I do, Daichi?" he asked his Panther, who he has known almost his whole life, as if it were to answer "I just want to see a world out there where I can be free and do what I want. I doubt they reprimand their children...." Kageyama walked over to his bird cage, where he counted his crows everyday and held the newborn chick's as if they were his own. "Look Daichi" Kageyama grabbed one small bird "He can jump high, but has yet learned how to fly" Kageyama laughed, a rare thing for him to do
