After the major altercation with Karkat, you wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. Your boyfriend on the other hand wanted you to patch things up or else shit would go down later.

So there you were sitting in Karkat's room as awkwardness filled the space between you two. Gerard stood sighing.

"Can someone just say something? Geez this is worse than living in battery city..."

You giggle. "Alright..."

Karkat looked up. "SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS NEED?" He crossed his arms.

"Well, I just wanted to repair whatever relationship we have but if you're gonna be a little shitstain then-"

"Heeey." Gerard scolded you.

Karkat glared. "ARE SUGGESTING A PLATONIC RELATION TO THIS ABSOLUTE BEST SPLIT IN OUR ALREADY COMPLICATED PLACEMENT IN THE QUADRANTS?"

You blinked. "Yeah...?" You hold Gerard's hand then stick out your other. "I mean, I kinda consider you a brother or a cousin at this point."

"FINE!"The crab snapped. " I GUESS WE'RE FRIENDS THEN."

Inside he felt himself scream but it was silenced by his hand shaking yours.

Bruce not only thought it was best to keep you safe from a monster like himself, but because of his work it was problematic to form relationships especially during a long-term mission. Also he was apparently crushing on a certain billionaire Playboy philanthropist so that was a plus.

You sat in your apartment heartbroken, again, as your dog (or other pets) cuddled your stomach.

"Why do people leave me (p/n)?"

Your pet licked your face.

"Fuck you too then." You held them tighter.

A knock come from your door.

"Who is it?!" You yell.

"... A familiar face."

You twitch. Not right now, you thought depressively. "Come in."

Aradia entered your home. Her eyes peered your way.

"0h my! (Y/n)! What happened?" She strode towards you.

You sighed. "Bruce broke up with me."

She stared. "Why?"

"He thought he was a monster and didn't think he could protect me from himself."

"Also I found out he was gay after Tony came in wearing some kinky shit." A smile cracked on your face.

Aradia chuckled. "I see. But are you alright? Might y0u need a friend?"
