"Erik," you said popping your head into his study the next morning.
He looked up from his book and sighed," can I help you Ms. Kennedy?"
"Do you know where Charles and Hank are?" You asked.
"They left for a day or two."
"A day? Or two?"
"Something about a student was having trouble with parents not really willing to let them go."
You sighed knowing these next two days wouldn't be easy.
"Well," you said nervously. "Would you like to watch a movie with me?"
"Ohh Nooo. No thanks."
Your shoulders slumped sadly," oh come on Erik! You aren't even doing anything. I won't bother you! I just don't want to be alone. Please?"
He stood up," only if you don't talk."
You smiled and zipped your lips, locked them and threw away the key before nodding.
He gave an exhausted sigh," let's go then" he led the way downstairs.
You put in a movie and you both sat down and watched it.

"So Erik, did you enjoy the movie?"
"That counts as talking." He added sourly.
"Oh come on. The movie is over."
He rolled his eyes," yes I enjoyed the movie. I enjoyed the silence even more but that seems to be over."
You narrowed your eyes."why do you hate me?"
"You had me arrested." He responded quickly and coldly.
"Ugh" you slumped back into the couch,"I apologized already."
"That doesn't change the past."
"Exactly so just get over it."
"I could say the same to you" he bit back.
"Oh sure, like it's easy for you to forget your family?"
"I've gotten my revenge."
Your brows furrowed," what do you mean?"
"The man who killed my mother. I hunted him down and put a metal coin through his brain."
You gasped," how..how could you do that?"
"He had a man shoot my mother in front of me."
"That doesn't give you the right to take someone's life."
He shrugged," too late for that life lesson."
You stood up," you're a monster." You ran to your room as fast as you could.

It took you all of 5 minutes to get packed and ready to go. You weren't to comfortable staying alone with Erik.
You grabbed your bags and opened the door to leave.
Erik was standing there.
His eyes narrowed sadly," you're leaving." He stated.
"Yes I am Mr. Lensherr. Now if you'll excuse me." You walked past him.
"I'm sorry." He called out after you.
Even though you haven't known Erik for a long time you knew apologizing wasn't something he did often. "I didn't mean to scare you. I've been working on myself. I'm stronger now and I realize what I did was wrong. Don't leave."
You turned back toward him," wow, I didn't know you knew how to apologize" you said with a smile.
"Don't make me regret it."
"You're no fun." You put your bags down. "So. How about you go set up another movie while I unpack."
"I'd rather not."
"Oh come on Erik! I'll be quiet again. There's nothing to do here and I'm dying of boredom."
"You owe me." He said under his breath as he walked off.
You speedily unpacked and put on some comfortable pjs and headed downstairs.
"Well don't you look cozy." He said in a sarcastic tone.
"Well I can't be glamorous all the time." You plopped onto the couch not too far from Erik.
You two watched the movie silently for an hour when you turned to him.
"I know I'm not supposed to be talking but I have a question. And please don't take this offensively but... Why aren't you in jail?"
"They released me. Said they didn't have enough evidence to keep me."
Your eyes narrowed," that doesn't sound right. They stopped looking. They didn't even care who was to blame. Why would they just let you go?"
"I heard them say something about not wanting to frame and innocent man."
You propped your head up on your hands," I don't understand..." You paused to think." Maybe I'll go visit uncle Lyndon."
"Uncle Lyndon? As in president Lyndon B. Johnson?" Erik questioned and you nodded.
" I knew him ever since my father took me in. He's really been like an uncle. He's really been there for me."
"What was it like being raised by the Kennedy's?" He asked.
"Hard but rewarding. People always talked bad about me but I was able to go to the best schools I could. Schools were segregated when I was growing up but some private schools weren't and my dad made sure I got into those. I studied harder than anyone I knew but I never felt good enough." You looked down at your fingers and saw you were subconsciously fiddling with them. "People always treated me like less of a person."
"I can understand that feeling."
"How so?" You asked Erik.
"I was in a concentration camp. It's the last place I seen my family."
"Oh my goodness Erik. I'm so sorry. I can't imagine."
His voice got hard," I don't need your pity. It was hard now I'm over it."
"I wasn't pitying you Erik."
"Good."

"I should've spared you the details earlier. I was too much for you."

You shook your head, "I'm a tough girl."

"No. You're a fragile little flower."

You looked up at him and he looked at you, he leaned in and you leaned in almost simultaneously.
In a few second his lips were softly against yours.
You couldn't help but kiss him back.
He then pulled away quickly.
"That was a mistake." He harshly said before leaving you feeling repulsive.
