Zara walked out of the Oval Office with her head held high and her heels clicking against the ground.
She sat in the car she had waiting outside and looked at the man in the driver seat.
"Is the warehouse all set?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am. The one on Waterford is set too but we won't need that one until Friday. When we finish up at the old one we can head to the new one. That's where Johnson's daughters are now."
"Guys!" You shouted," I saw her. I saw Zara and the president. She has his daughters she's threatening him to get rid of me or she'll kill them. They have a warehouse somewhere im not sure but Johnson's daughters are being held in a warehouse on Waterford. Zara will be there on Friday." You speeded the words out and became exhausted afterwards.
You turned and looked at Erik," Now who's not strong enough."
Charles grinned," that was very good work Atarah. I'm proud of you. Go take a break and get some rest while me and Erik buff out the details."
You nodded wanting to be there but knowing you needed rest. You turned on your heels and left the room.
A few hours later you woke up from your glorious nap to see Erik looking at some papers beside you.
"You just love being around when I'm sleeping huh?" You joked.
"It's relaxing not having to hear you talk." He joked and put the papers done to focus on you."look Atarah. I apologize for not believing in you and your abilities."
" I feel like this is the most you've ever apologized in your life."
He rolled his eyes at you.
"Apology accepted Erik. To be honest I didn't think I could do it either but I tried my hardest just to make you eat your words."
"What a delight you are." He said sarcastically.
The room grew quiet.
"What did Charles say to you?" He blurted out.You cocked you head confusingly," when?"
"When he was intruding on your thoughts."
"He wasn't intruding. He asked politely." You stuck your tongue out at him childishly.
"What did he say?" He asked again.
"Oh he uh. Just made a joke."
"What about?"
"You know come to think of it, it really wasn't even funny."
"Atarah spit it out already." He said impatiently.
"He called me Mrs. Lensherr." You quickly and quietly said hoping he wouldn't hear but you know he did.
You nervously peeked up at him and he raised a brow before rolling his eyes.
"Charles can be such a pest."
You anxiously laughed and agreed.
Maybe Erik didn't like the idea of you being Mrs. Lensherr.
You shrugged it off. It was soon to think of that anyways.
"What are you thinking about Atarah?" Erik broke the silence.
"Oh um. Just nothing."
His eyes narrowed as he became concerned,"you've been very flustered recently. Are you alright?"
You gave him a smile," just dandy."
He rolled his eyes," you're a mystery."
"Yeah look who's talking." You retorted.
"And what exactly does that mean?"
You hopped out of the bed"oh nothing."
He grabbed your arm before you could get too far,"what are you implying Ms. Kennedy?" He asked flatly.
"Nothing Mr. Lensherr." You bit back with twice the sarcasm he had.
"Oh?" He gripped your chin and pulled your face to his as he hungrily kissed you.
You pulled away breathless.
"Is it still nothing?" He asked just as breathless as you.You pulled away from him and rolled onto your back looking at the ceiling.
"Ughhh! This is exactly what I'm talking about."
He sighed," talk to me Atarah. What do you mean?"
You gestured from him to you,"This. Us. Or not us. Whatever this is. Or isn't. I don't know."
"What are you talking about?"
"What are we? What do you want from me?"
"Atarah. I'm not understanding what you mean."
You groaned and sat back on your legs.
"Do you want to be with me?"
His eyes widened,"oh."
The room became silent.
"Atarah. I love you and I would love to be with you but.." He sighed. "I'm not good enough for you. You're an absolute queen and I'm not worthy of you."
" Erik! Stop it. Don't think so little of yourself or so highly of me. We happen to be very similar."
"Oh I'm sorry." he climbed off the bed. " Have you murdered people before?" he asked coldly.
"Well no but that doesn't make you any less than me. You've changed. You're different. I can tell."
"You don't know me Atatah. Don't pretend like you do to make me feel better. You're practically a princess. I've had to work, no, fight for everything i have. I had to break backs and kill just to be where I am. We are not alike."
"We both lost our parents. We both were treated as lesser humans. We've been treated like shit." you paused to stand up and walk towards him. " So don't you DARE tell me we aren't alike. Don't push me away with your lies."
He began to take his shirt off and you became confused.
He had scars everywhere. Cigarette burns and cuts polluted his skin.
"Like I said I had to fight. Fighting means taking a few hits. We are NOT alike Ms. Kennedy."
You stood still staring at him contemplating what happened.
You let out a shaky breath before pulling up the back of your shirt and and turning your back to him to reveal the marks you on your skin.
You let him look for a minute before turning back around and fixing your shirt.
"If you don't want to be with me then tell me, but do NOT feed me lies." you firmly said before leaving the room.
