"Do you think she has something to do with it?" You asked Charles.
"She does." Erik answered and your head snapped in his direction.
You narrowed your eyes and thought for a second." You knew this."
You paced around the room angrily. "You don't care about me solving this. You just want to find her. I can't believe this."
"Atarah. I believe you're jumping to conclusions." Charles tried to intervene for his friend.
"No Charles I don't think I am." You turned to face Erik. "Am I?"
He sighed and placed his head in his hands. "No but-"
"That's all I needed to know." You whispered before leaving and slamming the door behind you.
The plane ride back to D.C was long and filled with tears.
Erik lied to you. He used you. He hurt you. But that's what he's good at.
And you don't know which was worse.
The fact that he hurt you or the fact that you still want him.
You laid in bed thinking and thinking and thinking until you decided to go and get some fresh air.
You threw on a tracksuit and went for a walk.
The air felt nice on your skin and walking aimlessly allowed you to relax for a while.
You stopped thinking about Erik long enough to notice the footsteps behind you.
You thought nothing of it. It is D.C after all. It was late and maybe they wanted air like you did.
You continued to walk and you noticed the footsteps following you around every corner you turned.
You decided to give it a test by speeding up.
You walked faster and listened as the footstep became faster as well.
You looked back and say a man in all black with dark look on his face.
"Don't make this hard." He threatened and you made a run for it. You heard him curse under his breath and before you could get too far a black van pulled up at the corner blocking you.
You abruptly stopped.
You felt hard hands grab onto you as a chloroform soaked napkin was placed over your mouth.

You awoke tied to a chair in the middle of a dimly lit room.
There was only a light bulb dangling over you.
You struggled to untie yourself to no avail.
"HELLO?!?" You yelled out.
A few moments later you heard footsteps.
You saw a chair being pushed out from the shadows being held by the infamous Zara Edmunds.
She gave a smiled as she sat down across from you.
"Atarah Kennedy. Just the woman I've been looking for. So glad of you to join us."
"Not like I had much of a choice."
"Yes, but still. I'm honored."
"What do you want?"
"I want, no need. I need you to stop looking into your fathers death because quite frankly it's annoying having to hide."
"So don't. Admit what you've done. Did you kill my father?"
"I wouldn't say kill, more like disposed of." She winked.
