"So are we gonna get out of bed or are we just gonna lay here all day either option is fine to me.?" You looked at Erik and cocked a brow.

"Well I was hoping I could keep you all to myself but Charles would like to talk to us."

You sighed knowing where this was going," about what?"

He sat up pulling you up with him," Zara. I assume."

"Ughhh I'm tired of talking about her."

Erik got up and began walking to the bathroom. "I'm sure she says the same thing to her henchmen." He responded.

You sat quietly for a minute thinking before calling after him, "wait! So you guys are my henchmen?" You joked.

————
"Hank you are an absolute angel." You said stuffing your face with chocolate chip waffles.
Erik rolled his eyes but said nothing as he sat in awe of you eating.
"Atarah, I have no idea where all that food is going." Erik said looking at you up and down.
You tried not to blush, "oh it'll catch up to me."
At that moment Charles strolled in with Alex on his heels.

"Atarah, Erik, may I have a word with you two in my office?" Charles requested.

You nodded and stood up following Erik out the door.

Alex gave you a wide smile as you walked past.

You returned the smile and kept walking.

"I don't like the way he looks at you." Erik whispered coldly beside you.

You rolled your eyes," you're being paranoid it was just a smile."

He scoffed and didn't say a word.

You and Erik sat in the chairs in front of Charles' desk as he closed the door then sat across from you.

He smiled," Erik I hope you've been behaving yourself and not been giving Atarah a hard time."

"No harder than usual." You chimed in causing Erik to roll his eyes.

"What is it Charles?" Erik asked cutting to the chase.

"I have a favor to ask Atarah." He responded before turning to you. "I want you to use your powers to try to find Zara. To see what she sees and hear what she hears. It could help us tremendously."

"Charles she's not strong enough." Erik butt in.

Who does he think he- "I'll do it Charles."

"Atarah you aren't ready. You could hurt yourself."

You were a bit irritated with his lack of belief in you, "I'll be fine Mr. Lensherr."

He gave a solid nod.

Charles placed two fingers to his head, "if I may," he paused waiting for your approval which you granted," I want to assess your powers and mutation to see if it's even possible before I strain you."

You smiled," go for it professor."

The room stayed silent as Charles poked around in your mind.

You and Erik make a lovely couple. You heard Charles voice say.

We aren't a couple but thanks for the compliment.

I haven't seen him this happy since Zara.

Your jaw clenched.

I apologize.

It's alright Charles.

You guys are a much cuter couple anyways.

Still not a couple Charles.

Of course Mrs. Lensherr.

You and Charles both smiled simultaneously gaining a confused, irritated look from Erik.

"Alright now. I believe you can do it Atarah. It'll take a lot of focus and energy. I don't want you to strain yourself. If it becomes too difficult it's alright to stop or take a break."

You firmly nodded and he instructed you on what to do.

You sat as still as possible and focused on Zara. You squeezed your brain for anything you could and nothing was happening.

"This isn't working Charles. You're just stressing her out. Find Zara another way." Erik snapped out as you tried to focus.

"There is no other way Erik. I've tried all I could."

Then you saw her. Standing in a mirror looking at herself.

Her red hair was in curls and she wore a tight trashy black dress with heels just as trashy.

A woman walked in to what appeared to be the bathroom.

"The president is ready for you now Ms. Edmunds."

She glided down the hallway swaying her hips unnecessarily just to gain any attention she could.

"President Lyndon B. Johnson." She paused kissing each of his cheeks. "What a pleasure to see you again."

"What do you want?" He bit out through his teeth.

"Uh uh uh. You know better than to take that tone with me. Lynda and Luci would not approve."

He swallowed. "Are they... Okay?"

She waved him away, "oh yes of course. As long as you get rid of Atarah Kennedy. Like we agreed."

"You know I can't do that. She's like a daughter to me and my best friend's daughter."

"That thing." She said through her teeth. "Is not his daughter."

"I can convince her to let it go."

"That didn't work before!" She half shouted making sure to keep the guards at bay.

"Get rid of her. Or I'll do it and take care of your daughters as well."
