Your heart stopped as you looked at Erik.

His blue eyes locked on to your brown ones as you looked at him.

You felt like fainting but all you could do was stand there in shock.

Charles smiled and left the room for you and Erik to be alone.

You slowly took one step at a time until you reached his bedside.

Words were still unable to come out.
You knelt down beside his bed, took his hand, kissed it and cried uncontrollably.

"Hi my love." He croaked.

You looked up and smiled harder than possible.

You cried even harder hearing the voice you've missed so much.

"I love you so much Erik." You finally said.

"I love you more." He struggled to say.

You shook your head," not possible. Don't talk you're too weak."

He gave a nod not even strong enough to fight back.

The doctor soon came in and smiled at you," Ms. Kennedy. You look much better. So glad we don't have to admit you. Mr. Lensherr it's good to see you awake. You're doing much better than you were yesterday. You did suffer quite a few injuries but we patched you all up and we were just waiting for you to wake up. We'll send a nurse in with some food to try and get you off the feeding tube. Then we'll take some tests." Dr. Goldwyn smiled and exited the room.

You looked back at Erik and smiled at him as he smiled at you.

"Erik." You fought back tears," you have no idea how much I've missed you."

You cried and sat silently as Erik slept and the nurse brought in some food for him to regain his strength.

After his tests and another meal Erik was strong enough to sit up in the bed.

His voice didn't sound so strained and he was visibly getting better with the color returning to his face and eyes.

You've never been happier.

You climbed in the bed and cuddled up to Erik and gave him a million kisses.

"Woah. Take it easy love." He joked.

"Sorry. I just really really missed you."

"I know." He looked down smiling at you. His brows furrowed," how long was I out?"

"Almost 5 months."

His jaw dropped,"Really?"

You gave a silent nod.

"And...how long have you been here?"

"Almost 5 months." You repeated.

His shoulders slumped.

"It wasn't that bad. I had tv and food and sometimes I'd sleep in the bed with you instead of the chair and-"

"Atarah. You look damn near worse than I do. Please don't try to kid me." You looked down as you fiddled with your fingers like a scolded child. "Have you been eating?"

"Ummm. I ate today."

"And when did you eat before then?"

"Sunday." You said under your breath.

"For Christs sake Atarah. You can't just starve yourself." He yelled as best as he could.

"Um excuse me, I distinctly remember you being the same way when I was in the hospital. Except this time was worse. You were fighting for your life for months! Food was the last thing on my mind."

He let out a deep sigh," you really should've taken better care of yourself angel."

You felt ashamed," I know. I'm sorry. I was just so worried and I don't wanna live without you. I'm so happy you're awake."

He leaned over and kissed your nose,"so am I. Now I get to see that beautiful face all the time."

"Charles told me that you were thinking about me."

"What do you mean angel?"

"When you were in your coma. Charles said he could still hear your thoughts."

"Oh?"

"He said that you were thinking about me. About how much you love me and how you wanted to see me."

He smiled. "That sounds about right."

You looked at him closely before leaning your head on his shoulder.

"I've missed your smile and your laughter. Your voice. Your serious face. Your 'I love you'. The way you joke with me and kiss me when I'm sad. The way your hold me when I'm scared." Your voice became shaky as you cried," I thought you'd never wake up." You sobbed.

He wrapped his arms around you as you sobbed," shh baby. It's okay. I'm here. I'm right here." He lightly rubbed your arm in a soothing manner.

You let out a deep yawn.

You felt him smile against the top of your head."Go to sleep my darling angel."

You shook your head. "I feel like this is all a dream. I don't want it to be over."

"It's not a dream. I'm awake I'm really awake. And I love you and you need sleep."

You yawn again and cuddle into his chest. "Well maybe I can just rest my eyes."

He gave a light laugh that made your heart flutter. "Goodnight baby."
