Veronica's POV

"Vic" I whispered

"Yeah baby it's me, how are you doing?" He said stroking my hair. I sat up and looked around the empty hospital room, Vic was lying next to me on the bed. "I'm brilliant, why am I here? I'm not hurt am I? I don't feel hurt" I asked examining my body. Vic started laughing. "What's so funny? I'm confused" I furrowed my eyebrows and he kissed me lightly on the lips. "You're cute when you're perplexed" I smacked his arm and chuckled with him. "Vic what's going on?" I repeated and I noticed his smile drop.

"I'll let the guys explain" he answered looking over at the empty sofa. His eyes were full with tears.

"What are you staring at? Nothing's there" I questioned. He pulled his gaze away and looked at me.

"Look again V" he whispered snuggling into my neck. I did what I was told and sure enough people started to appear, Mike was sitting on the sofa he looked like a ghost, all colour had gone and his eyes had bags under them, he was sleeping but looked in pain. No wonder Vic was about to cry, seeing his brother like that.

I turned to see Tony and Jaime the same way, their tattoos were even bland and not vibrant like the way they were before, they were both sleeping in the chairs at the side of the room. I saw Kellin, Oliver, Austin and Matt Nicholls outside deep in conversation, they had all been crying judging by their puffy red eyes. "But why" I mumbled.

"As I said beautiful, I'll let them explain" Vic replied holding me tighter. I just nodded, totally bewildered.

"How are you Vic?" I asked as we gazed at the lifeless people infront of us; like grandparents do when they're looking at the family they'd created. "Hmm? Oh I'm brilliant, glad I'm here with you. Shall we go for a walk?" I hesitated and looked at the guys. "They'll still be here when you get back" he smiled noticing my concern, I agreed and laced my fingers with his. We walked around the hospital watching people rush in with people near enough on their death beds. "I promise you'll be okay" Vic said breaking the comfortable silence.

"I know? I have you" I squeezed his hand, the look on his face said I was right but the look in his eyes didn't. "Don't I?" I pressed

"I'll always be right by your side V, I'm never leaving you."

I nodded feeling happier, that's all I needed to know.

"Well... I have to go now" he whispered pulling me into a hug.

"What? Where are you going?" I asked desperately.

He gave a sad smile "You can wake up now" I raised an eyebrow "People are waiting for you to wake up, now is the time. I just wanted you to know that everything's going to be okay, don't be scared. Just wake up and breathe." he pecked me on the lips. "I have to go" he mumbled walking away

"Wait!" I called and he turned around "are you coming back? When will I see you again?"

He beamed and walked backwards to the sudden white portal that had opened.

"I'll be here to collect you...one day"

And then, he vanished.
