A/N short chapter, I'll update tomorrow<3

Third person POV

Veronica had made it through five nights and her life didn't look so threatening anymore. People walked in with flowers, balloons and cards. Some saying "get well soon" and others congratulating her on her new baby. Tony, Mike and Jaime barely left her hospital room and Oliver switched his time between baby Alexandra and V. The past five days dragged tremendously and everyone was starting to believe that she was never going to wake up although no one said it, even the nurses remained optimistic around the guys but I guess it was what they were payed for. Paparazzi and news reporters eventually caught on to the news that Veronica was in the hospital and had tried to sneak in several times causing maximum security. Bets were being made on what her illness was and even sex of the baby, it was practically the talk of the world, luckily no one had betrayed them yet.

Veronica's POV

"I don't want to leave." I whined and Vic rolled his eyes.

"Can you stop doing that? You're acting like I'm some sort of drama queen, you get to see me everyday and I never get to see you, either of you! Do you know how much that hurts?" I snapped and Vic raised his eyebrows at my sudden outburst, he paused and walked over to me, wrapping me in his arms. I snuggled into his chest and inhaled his scent as he placed his chin on the top of my head. "You know I don't think that, you're just nervous and you've got every right to be, there's going to be a lot of changes and things won't make sense but just hold on because you'll find out the answer eventually." He explained and I pulled away.

"That's pretty deep." I joked "It's like you can see the future." Vic smirked and my eyes went wide in realisation "Oh my god, you totally can! You can see the future, do you maybe wanna tell me some things?" I winked and he laughed while shaking his head at me

"Nope." He replied popping the p "You'll see soon enough."

"I'm going to miss you sis." A voice said behind me and I jumped, not expecting it. I put my hand over my heart and turned around "Jesus Christ, it's almost like you're trying to kill me."

Lana laughed and then the sadness filled her eyes "I will miss you though..." She trailed off and I pulled her into a tight hug, not wanting to let her go. "What am I supposed to say to them?" I mumbled and she stopped for a minute and frowned. "Say that I'm not going anywhere, say that even though they couldn't see me, I've been there the whole time..." Lana whispered and a tear rolled down my cheek

"Tell them that I miss them." Vic said, looking me fully in the eyes. I knew he was holding it all in and what he really wanted to do was to break down. I nodded in response and dropped my gaze to the floor. Lana quickly put her index finger under my chin and lifted my head up, making sure I was looking at her. "And you..." She began "I want you to remember that too, we're always gonna be here and eventually when it's your time to go we'll be here to collect you okay?" Lana reminded me, tears streaming down her face.

"You should be so proud of yourself and whenever you think you can't do it, remember how much you've been through and remember how many times you've smiled after all the bad times. We saw you happy and I know you think that you'll never be okay but you will." Vic said and that's when I broke down.

"Please don't let me go, I can't do this on my own." I begged, Vic had to catch me before I fell to the ground. "You'll never be alone." He whispered, creating goosebumps on my body

"You'll always have me."

And then they faded away, without a goodbye.

A beeping sound filled my ears every few seconds, I recognised it as a heart rate monitor and it was doing my head in. Everything felt strange, I could hear myself breathing loudly and my eyes glued themselves together, I tried to open them but it just wasn't happening. Even the simplest thing like moving a finger I found difficulty in and I couldn't understand, it was like I was there but wasn't.

"...so that means she's doing great and when you wake up you can see her..." A voice filled the room and it honestly felt like an eternity since I'd heard his voice. "I...I really miss you V, please stop sleeping and come back to me, I love y-you." Oliver sobbed on my shoulder and I could feel his warm tears soaking into my hospital gown. I tried to talk, scream or to make any noise but that didn't happen either, I was trapped. I began to panic and my breathing got heavier, the beeping of the heart monitor became faster and that only made my heart race more. "V?" Oliver asked panicking a little "V? Can we get help in here?!" He raised his voice and suddenly people barged through the door, well I assumed they were, I couldn't exactly see anything but black.

"Veronica?" A female voice questioned, it was soft and oddly comforting which seemed to calm my pulse down a lot "Veronica, stay with me, we've got you, take a breath, breathe."

And then I opened my eyes...
