Darsey's pov:

"Louis, stop!" I shout as he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. I try and say more but my laughter won't allow it. He flings me into the pool and jumps in after me.

"I can't swim!" he jokes while shoving me under the water to stay above.

I struggle out from under him and climb out of the pool.

"I can't believe you," I chuckle as I wring out my hair. He follows me and we hurry inside to escape the chilly night air.

I grab us towels and bring one to him. My smile fades when I see the expression on his face. He's looking down at his phone, his cheeks turning scarlet.

"Darsey, look." he says, holding his phone up to me. I read it carefully:

'Im tired of this. I can't trust you living with Darsey. I know you've said you're just friends and you'll never be anything more but I just can't.

-Eleanor'

My heart sunk.

"She doesn't mean it, Lou." I try to comfort him. He sets his phone down and runs upstairs to his room.

I watch him sadly before dashing out the front door. I charge across the street to Liam's house in hopes of help.

"Liam!" I pound in his door. In seconds he swings it open.

"What, what?!" he shouts nervously, his deep brown eyes wide with worry.

"Eleanor just broke up with Louis," I said to him. "She doesn't like him living with me." I add guiltily.

"Thats ridiculous," he replies.

I shake my head and run my fingers through my hair, lost and confused.

"I don't know," I sigh.

"Let's go talk to him," Liam says as he walks past me and across the street. We walk into the house, glide up the stairs, and down the hall.

"Louis," I say as I knock his door. No answer. Liam does the same. After a few moments we hear a clicking sound and the door opens.

"What?" he says quietly, his voice hardly working. I can tell he's been close to breaking down.

"Lou, talk to us," I say. He rubs his face and looks up at us.

"What? What could you possibly have to say?" he snaps, causing me to take a step back. Ive never seen him like this before.

"Louis don't take it out on Darsey. She's trying to help." he says as I turn and walk to my room, trying not to cry. I can't bear to see my best friend like that, especially when he's snapping at me. And it's my fault.
