HARRY'S POV:
---
{1 week later}
I arrive back at my house from Niall's and I pick up my phone that I had left on the couch. Luckily my parents have stopped bugging me since their surprise visit, but My heart sinks when I see that I had gotten a few texts from Cedric.
*Remember what I told you*
*It's the only way to keep her safe*
*Talk to James first*
I dial James's number hesitantly. I have to do this. For her- it's not fair to keep doing this to her; to keep putting her in danger.
"Hello," James answers.
"I need to meet with you." I say lowly.
"Now is a good time. Meet me at the diner on 54th street,"
I hang up and scale the stairs before changing from sweats and a v-neck into jeans and a black leather jacket. I check the mirror and ruffle my hair.
I slowly make my way out of my house and back into my car. I take my time on the way there- because I really don't want to do this. But I need to do it for her.
When I arrive I find that James is already there, sitting at a booth. I make my way over to him, scowling at his blonde long hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Styles," he grins as I sit down lazily. "It's been a while."
it's been like two weeks.
"Shut up." I growl.
"Someone isn't very happy." he smirks. "What do you have to say?"
"What can I do to get you to leave her alone?" I grunt.
"Who?" he asks.
"You know d*** well who I'm talking about." I hiss.
"Oh, the girl. Darsey is it? Well the thing is I don't really want to leave her alone." he muses. "She's quite a good looking girl," his smirk makes me want to kill him. His bold expression lightens when I glare at him. Intimidation is one of my strong suits.
"Oh, I know what you can do." his face darkens. "You can break up with her. Bad. But it has to be so believing that she won't take you back. And I'll send Jason to make sure you do it right." he beckons to a guy sitting at the table next to us.
I nod although I can already feel the pain. If it keeps her safe, it's what I have to do.
"You swear you'll leave her alone?" I boldly question. He nods.
"Now go on and do it." he grunts.
