I wait for Louis by the gate, anxious. Luckily after a while of Harry arguing that I shouldn't come alone, he finally gave in. I really don't want Louis to come and see Harry and I waiting for him. I'll have to tell him eventually, but I'm dreading the thought.
"Louis!" I squeal when I see him. His eyes light up and I rush over and throw my arms around his neck.
"Hello, Darsey," he says, his voice calming me. When I pull back he smiles.
"I missed you." I say, looking up at him.
"I missed you too." his words thick with his accent. The way he speaks is so familiar and welcoming to me. Soft, low, and smooth. I glance around at the rest of his team as they walk by us, every few glancing at us an giving Louis a slight nod that I don't understand. Some guy code or something.

"Sounds like you did amazing at your game," I say to him once he finishes explaining all his trick shots and goals.
"I did pretty amazing." he said with a sarcastic smile before his expression hardened. "Wait, what happened three nights ago when you were at the party?"
Great.
"Well, I was outside talking to you when some guy, James, interrupted and he scared me so I dropped my phone." I try to explain without my nerves seeping through my words. "Harry came out and scared the guy off," I leave out the part where Harry beat up James purposefully.
"Did the guy try to hurt you?"
"No," I lie.
"What did he want?"
"I don't know he just introduced himself to me before Harry came out." I hate lying.
"That's odd," He squints his soft blue eyes and cocks his head.
"Yeah," I bite my lip and look at my hands. I need to tell him, but I can't. He's like a fragile, priceless vase; and the slightest movement could cause him to shatter. I can't let him shatter.
So how can I do that? I'll have to lie.
But I don't want to. I hate keeping things from him. He'll eventually find out, and when he does... I have no idea what will happen.
"So what's the status on you and Harry?" he practically reads my thoughts.
"I don't really know," I answer honestly. I really don't know, but not in the way that Louis thinks.
"Look, Darsey. Whatever you decide to do with him, just be careful. I have no idea what he's gotten himself into, but it isn't good and the last thing I want is for you to get mixed up in it." He says, carefully trying to find the correct words.
I nod as he speaks. I know what he's gotten himself into and it definitely isn't good.
And I'm mixed up in it already.
"Thanks, Lou." I smile at him, shoving the nerves down my throat. "I missed you," I add.
"I missed you too," he smiles, giving me the warm hug that I cherish. He has and always will be my best friend, but I can't see him being anything more. Not with Harry in the picture.
But now that Harry's in the picture, so is James, Thea, Josh, and all the other crazy gang members that live in this area.
Who knew that this town was so corrupted? It seems so peaceful and quaint from the outside, but on the inside it's full of darkness, evil, and most of all, violence.
